On Friday, July 26, 2024, Leafus (Leaf) from Trade Route Air was scheduled for an air duct and dryer vent cleaning appointment at my home. Upon going upstairs for a wellness check, I immediately noticed that Leaf had not fully pulled the dryer from the wall, which would be expected to complete the dryer duct cleaning. I asked him how he was able to reach the wall without pulling the unit out, He demonstrated how he reached the piping on the wall by placing his left hand on the top left corner of the dryer and his right hand on the bottom right-hand corner of the dryer and used his "upper body strength to lift himself". Upon testing the dryer, we were immediately made aware of the damage to the top of the dryer and once we powered it on, the sound that it made let us know that something was awry.I texted the images to Leaf and sent him a video about the damages. He stated that he wanted to come over with a plunger to see if he could remove the dents. We denied this request because he is not a known dryer repair technician and we don't want to incur any further damages. We then asked Leaf to escalate this matter and to get back to us with a viable solution. He had someone named ** call me to offer a refund of the dryer vent cleaning fee of $50. We feel this is an unacceptable resolution because my dryer is not functioning like it was before Leaf "used his upper body strength" to damage the dryer, forcing something within the dryer to be 'offline', making a terrible grinding noise.I contacted the Angi's List Customer ********************** department and worked with a mediator to try to resolve this issue. Per the mediator, I secured 3 quotes from 3 different reputable companies, the lowest quote was for $125 - $175 for the repair. This information was submitted to Leaf (Trade Route Air Solutions) via the mediator from Angi's List, however, Leaf would not comply with repairing my dryer.
