11/14 & 11/15 I have reached out to Georgia Eye Associates regarding a bill they sent to collections for $75.78. This was due to a billing issue. The billing **** messed up and billed my insurance when I am self pay. I have been seeing this office for 2 years every 3 months and this is how we handle my billing. Going self pay saves me money and that is why I requested it. ***** at the ********* location has worked with me several times on this, and she even said the billing **** messed up. Nobody has returned my call from billing ****. I went in to pay the $75.78 to collections so it does not hit my credit, because I certainly have the money to cover this. When I login to do it it literally states by paying it I agree I owe it, and I DO NOT. Today 11/18 I had my husband physically go to the ********* location and ask how to rectify this. ***** said she could only put a note in and that they have put multiple in and nobody is responding. Literally told me there is nothing I can do but wait. Who does this to customers. No phone number other than the one I have already contacted and not one response. I asked for a manager and she informed me she can only send notes to hers. Unacceptable and someone needs to call me and rectify this and GET IT OUT OF COLLECTIONS!

I have been going to GA Eye Associates for years, and ******************** has been wonderful. Summer 2022 I had cataract surgery which I am still trying to pay off because my out of pocket was $900 per eye due to the fact that GEA is not in-network on my medical insurance, which I was told well after we had begun the process of setting up the surgeries. Whatever. When I went for my regular checkup in November 2023 I mentioned to ******************** that my right eye seemed to have regressed a little - that it was not a big deal but I thought I should mention it. She looked and said that it was an "easy fix" and told me to set up a consultation with ******************, who had done the cataract surgeries.I set up the consultation for the following week, went in, and ****************** immediately took me into a room to do the "easy fix". It took about 3 minutes, and I was actually excited that it could be done right then without setting up another appointment. No charge was ever mentioned. No pre-approval was done. I assumed, especially because the original surgery was so expensive, that since no charge was mentioned, there would be no charge. My employment operation was sold to another company and as of August 1, 2023 I was starting over with new insurance and a new deductible, so I knew I needed to defer any medical care to 2024, as I had already met my 2023 deductible on the old insurance, and my deductible on the new insurance was 2.5 times higher than my old insurance.I received a bill for $600.00. I have emailed corporate telling them I will NOT be paying. I have just made my final payment on the routine exam, but I will absolutely NOT be paying the $600, and they have lost a long time patient.Despite emails to their corporate, emails to their billing, and a scathing yelp review I have received no acknowledgement from anyone at GEA regarding this situation, and they continue to bill me.

My partner had an ocular emergency recently and saw a doctor at Georgia Eye Associates Buckhead. The doctor prescribed prescription antibiotic eye drops which of course, were needed ASAP because his eye was red, swollen, painful and weepy. Again this was an EMERGENCY and the doctor was well aware of that. It took 4 phone calls back to the office, and over 24 hours to get the people who handle prescriptions for Georgia Eye Associates Buckhead to call it into the pharmacy! This was needed immediately. So my poor partner had to suffer for over 24 hours because we couldn't get the ** eye drops even though the doctor knew this was urgent. That goes against the "do no harm" thing, right? FYI there is NO PHONE at Georgia Eye Associates Buckhead, so if you call their number, you get a different office. Not helpful if you need any information from the Buckhead doctors or staff. There is no direct phone access to anyone who handles prescriptions at Georgia Eye Associates Buckhead either, and they're at another hidden location so if you need a prescription you have to call another office, and they put in an ** request. If the doctor "calls it in" to your pharmacy - that does not happen until much later because it's handled by some other mysterious group of people. Terribly managed phone systems and horribly inefficient prescription process at Georgia Eye Associates Buckhead! The staff is rude and incompetent - NEVER go here if you need expedient care or if you care about getting anything done in a timely fashion. They obviously don't care about patients' health, they just want you in and out, they want to get your money, and then if they're in the mood, they'll get around to calling in your emergency, urgently-needed prescriptions. The whole way they do business (and it is obviously a for-profit business) is shady at best.

      1) on 03/13/2023 I had an eye exam at this clinic by ******** ***********. Prior to the visit I carefully checked that this provider was in my insurance network as a Preferred Provider. The day of the visit I made an $80.00 payment as copay for the visit. On 03/30/2023 my insurance made a payment and provided an *** for this visit. The *** clearly states the correct amount of the visit copay of $104.25. It also made price adjustments to the and list them under code 600. On 04/17/2023 I received a GEA bill for $309.92. I called and emailed to them trying to get the correct amount remaining for the visit of $24.25. I uploaded to them the *** and Copay payment for them to fix but as of today they do not have done anything to correct their error. I am uploading on this form the ***, Copay payment receipt, and the bill they sent me. Their bill do not match the insurance *** because they do not credit the insurance adjustments, and did not enter the correct amount of the $80.00 visit copay.I want them to fix this error and bill me for the correct amount of $24.25
