I used reliable relocators for my move on 12/28/24only to find out that this was pretty much a scam. I was quoted a price of $1330 for my move to ***********. I spoke to a young man named **** ***** Who later on I found out was just a salesman for the company who did not give us the correct information about everything we were misled the day of the move. We gave the movers $665 as instructed pre-******* ***** on a written estimate and then when my furniture was loaded onto the truck, I was told the truck would not move without us paying $4473 Which was not explained to us at all by this company. I was then called and told by someone who said that they were the owner of the company or the manager that they were willing to take $3500 for the move which we didnt have this kind of money for the move. We were then told that if we wanted our furniture off of the truck that we would have to pay $3100 to have it removed off of the truck otherwise it was gonna stay on the truck until we pay the remaining balance plus the 1330 which was just to get an estimate that we did not know about because that was not told to us at all and that we were gonna be charged $250 every day our stuff set in storage so if you do the math youre talking about $5803 thats insane so we were told again on today which is 12/30 of 2024 if we want to proceed with coming up with the $4473to get our furniture we can do so thats money that we do not have at all so all of our things that we have gathered over the years things that belong to medications, daughter who passed away in July, all of my diabetic medications, all of my tax Information my personal information as well as my fiancs information is in the back of that truck. I feel like theyre holding my stuff hostage and I want everyone to know that this is real is not a joke. Please be careful of who you speak with when you get ready to move. Now being told that stuff will be auctioned off and we will be sued..
