This review is strictly for the billing department and how they handle refunds. I paid for a back brace prior to pre-op. At pre- op I was told the back brace I was wearing was sufficient. I immediately contacted Summer for a refund. I was told the insurance had already been filled and once the surgery was clear, I would be refunded. Surgery was */**/22 as of */**/22 no refund. I emailed Summer, no reply. I spoke w/ Trina early June and was told it would take 30-45 days. I was also told that as long as I had future appointments, no refund would be issued. I can't understand what */**/22 surgery refund has to do with future appointments. Watch them closely please, physical therapy over charged me by $10 every session. Keep your receipts and verify it with your insurance Explanation of Benefits. I checked it and my co-payment for therapy was $30. I went to a follow up appointment and was charged $40 and the EOB stated $0. I will not give up on my $549 refund😡.

Donna - I apologize for your frustration and can tell you that your check is being processed by the CFO right now. You should have it soon. We were quoted a $40 copay from your insurance company when the PT was pre-certified, so this is what we were charging you. While it may look that way, it was never our intention to over charge you as we thought we were billing you accordingly. Once a patient is finished with all appointments related to a procedure the account is balanced out and any overpayments are refunded at that time. I know it may seem like a long time, but six months is typical for a post op schedule being completed. Again, I apologize for your frustration as our ultimate goal is to have happy patients!
