    July *** 2022, someone backed into my truck bumper causing damage to the bumper that required replacement of the bumper. I took the truck to **** **** ********* center for repair. I decided that I would replace the OEM bumper with a different bumper, possibly a ********** bumper and would pay the difference in cost. They referred me to James at Creative Coatings. We discussed the ********* Bumper. I asked James to text a picture of the bumper I ordered. **** **** took the truck to Creative Coatings for the bumper installation and picked it up from them. When I picked up the truck from **** ****, I noticed that there is a difference in the bumper in the picture and the one installed. The one installed does not have the same protective mesh as the one in the picture, which leaves the transmission inner cooler completely exposed to possible damage from obstacles in the road. When I questioned James he said I purchased the ***** ********** bumper. I questions him about a refund and he texted back that after the bumper is installed they will not refund or exchange it. I know that is the policy with most electronic automotive parts, but not the case with other auto parts. There is also a piece of metal, that may go with the bumper, that was placed in the bed of my truck. Not sure why it was not installed on the bumper rather than placing in the bed of my truck. No paperwork was provided me regarding the installed bumper. James offered, at my expense, to weld expanded metal (mesh) in to cover the gap. The gap is where a winch is installed, but I do not plan to install a winch at this time due to the additional expense. There are other gaps as well in the bumper. There seems to be a lack of full and fair disclosure between the picture of the bumper sent and the actual bumper received. I feel I should have been informed of the lack of protection the bumper offers.

    The customer was sent a picture of the bumper that was installed on his truck. What he has negelected to add to the conversation is the bumper he ordered is capable of holding a winch however he did not at the time have the funds to install a winch on the bumper so the carrier is not installed leaving a gap in the bumper that once he buys a winch will be installed and fill the gap that he has referred to above. We have all the texts of the converstation between us and him if you need them.

    If you look at the pictures that I sent, of the one sent to me per my request, and the actually installed, it is as plain as day that they are not the same bumpers. You need to re-examine the pictures that was sent and the picture of the one installed. Why was I not contacted and informed of this by email?

    When asked for a picture of a item we will typically go to their website and use the pictures they use to showcase their product. these are most of the times the exact product but in some cases they have the describtion and part number but they will use a stock photo that is not exact how the product looks even though they try to get close. Im not sure this is the exact case only because i dont have everything sitting in front of me to look at and inspect. With most compaines they have a disclaimer but others do not. I was assured that the product installed on the truck was the part number that was looked up even if the picture sent wasnt exaclty the best representation of the part installed.
