The 'owner' of Mercenae, LLC, DB (initials) came to our business in October of ************************************************************************************ operation for 10 years. ** confidently stated that the company would invest an amount of $500K. We were told that the sales of a ********* location would finance the investment and he also wanted us to partner with him to assist with the operation of his remaining ********* locations in *****. He required us to follow his guidance without questioning and we agreed. We were required to pay $1200 for a trust document. He required us to open 3 new business accounts. After over 6 months of completing every task he requested, only to have him not act with investing, the company proved to be a fraud. From November to May, he requested that we: 11/24 - Find a standalone 6000 sqft building to purchase; 12/24 - Find land to build a strip mall with our cafe as the anchor. 1/25 - Find a food truck for immediate cash flow and a building to purchase to build out a kitchen. 2/25 - Find an empty restaurant in ************* to purchase. 3/25 - Get a contract for a mall location (*****). From Nov 2024- April 2025, we repeatedly entered contracts with different companies to expand the juice business. Each time he stated he was 'moving the money from his investment accounts to our business account. It never happened. 4/25 - He notified us that he wants to open his own restaurant and have us as contractors. We signed the contractor agreement and completed tax documents. 5/25 - He asked us to help him and his wife relocate to ************** after the sell of their townhouse. He called several days after the move to inform us that they were angry about how we packed things and the deal was off. We believe the company is fraudulent. For the time wasted we are now requiring him to return the $1200 cost of the trust document.
