    I'm from ******* and very familiar with the food. It's mostly on point, just don't know if it's worth the attitude, errors and additional fees. Food, 5 stars, gratuity -3 stars.My main problem is the 20% charge they added, then the young lady actually asked if I wanted to leave a gratuity. I spent $19 on 4 wings for my daughter. I stopped giving them my money. My daughter asked me why I would go to a place and spend $30 for an Oxtail Dinner, but have a problem with $13 for wings. I don't have a problem with the cost of the dinner, it's the 20% charge PLUS expectation of a gratuity. If I ate in the place, no problem, definitely don't think it should be added for a take out order. Is this even legal???

    I went to Harold's chicken & Ice Bar on 2/12/2023. I attempted to order online but it told me that the resturant was closed but in fact they were open. When I called to place a call in order, I was informed I would have to pay over the phone for my order to be placed. Upon arrival, I learned that 20% gratiuty had been added to my meal for a call in order. When I asked about the gratiuty charge, the response was that is normal for all call in orders. If I would have known this, I would have never placed an order with this business being that the service was not gratuity worthy. Furthermore, when I called to place my order, I specifcally requested extra mild sauce ON my chicken, and I was charged for extra mild sauce, only to retrieve my order and find out that there was in fact no mild sauce on my chicken and only 5 sauces on the side for 15 chicken wings. This was by far the worse service I've ever received from a ******'s establishment. Being a ******* native, I know the value that this establishment holds, but this franchise is doing nothing to live up to the expectations of a true Harolds.
