We initially used Rainmaker because we added a new area of sod to out backyard and wanted our sprinkler coverage adjusted. They first came out on 5/24/24. They moved the location of one sprinkler (sprinkler X) which required digging out the sprinkler and adding additional hosing. They also changed the cap of a second sprinkler (sprinkler Y). The total cost of this was $253.57. After less then 2 weeks sprinkler Y failed. We had them bring a team out and they said sprinkler Y pipes had failed. The technician moved a different sprinkler around which did not provide full coverage of the lawn which was the original goal of the project. I reached out to them again since the project was incomplete. This time they asked me to sign an estimate for the work that needed to be done. To be honest I felt like this whole time they did not complete the work from the start so I was already unhappy with the service and having to pay again. The estimate they provided (attached) was $533.03. I signed this form since it was an estimate for the "proposal of scope of work." They finally came on 8/1/24 and to their credit they did complete the project. They were in and out of their vehicle in 45 minutes (camera footage if needed), added 1 sprinkler head, and extended rubber hose tubing approximately ***** ft. They charged $150 for 45 minutes of labor, $185 for a single sprinkler head (online ranges from $10-30), $80 for ***** ft of rubber hosing, and $25 for miscellaneous cost. I reached out to them on several occasions. After multiple voicemails and emails a **** ******* provided a two sentence response saying you signed the estimate and that's what we charge. He gave no explanation and brushed me off. An estimate is an estimate. It is unethical practice to charge more than what was performed and upcharge materials to that degree. I asked for a receipt to see the type of sprinkler head and tubing they used. They ignored med. There is no transparency. Below is the attached email thread.

Mr. *** gave us a difficult time about our pricing after our third visit in a month to accommodate him, therefore, we provided a detailed quote when he requested a fourth visit to be as transparent as possible and hopefully avoid additional haggling. He signed and agreed to the price and scope, and we completed the agreed upon work. We responded to his email following completion of the job, as shown attached to Mr. ***** complaint, and we did not respond further because there was nothing more to be said. We will not be servicing Mr. ***** residence again.

Hello,When I relocated to Georgia, I contacted Rainmaker Irrigation & Landscaping, Inc. to install an irrigation system at my house. In late 2022, I renewed my annual service agreement - a cost of $350 - with Rainmaker Irrigation in 2023 for 3 appointments - a spring start up, a fall shut down and a mid-year service. In early 2023, I accepted a new job out of state and put my house on the market. After learning about my relocation, I called Rainmaker to inform them I was moving and that I wanted to close my account. I was informed when I called their office that the annual service agreement was non-refundable and non-transferable. At the time, I had only utilized Rainmaker for my spring start up service - which accounted for 1 service appointment - on March 21. When speaking with Rainmaker, I was confused as to why the company was essentially benefiting financially for additional services that were not being utilized by a client. While on the phone with Rainmaker, I requested to speak to a manager to discuss an appropriate resolution. I was told that ****** was the manager and he could be reached in the mornings. When I requested to know what hours ****** worked or if I could receive his direct contact information, I was told simply to call back and that the office would leave a note to have ****** contact me.I've repeatedly called and contacted Rainmaker Irrigation and have yet to receive a response or a call back from management over the past 3 weeks. I would like to request a refund or store credit.Thank you,*******

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Complaint #******** Thank your for providing an update regarding my complaint. My apologizes for not responding sooner to your prior message. I was in the process of moving and am just now getting a chance to follow up on a few items. I am not satisfied with the resolution that was provided by the business and am seeking a refund for the 2 service appointments that were not utilized during the latter half of 2023. I closed on my home on June 16, 2023 and never received any additional services from Rainmaker after March 21, 2023. In addition, no parts were purchased the latter half of 2023. If you need any further documentation from me regarding services performed in March, please let me know. Please feel free to contact me directly by phone or email to discuss further. If I need to file a new complaint to address this issue, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you soon
    Sincerely,
