In late June 2024 we had ******* ******* Wildlife sales consultant cell number ************ and office number1 -800-critter. Quote us a price of more than 4000 dollars for a raccoon problem we had. She stated the work would take five full days. Two people showed up to our house late in June and spent 1 and a half hours putting up an aluminum gate and several pieces of aluminum blocking entrances on our roof. Total materials probably less than 100 dollars. They then charged our credit card 2795 dollars for this work. We did not authorize this payment but ******* put us on auto pay. We Have contactedcritter control several times to get our money back at 1 800 critter but knowone calls us back.We have been told by ***** and ***** at that number the district and regional manager would call us, knowone has. We are elderly and do not know what to do please help us get our money back .

I did a home inspection for this family at their request regarding raccoon noises. During my inspection I found family of raccoons, a dead raccoon, rats and squirrels in their attic and rats in the Crawlspace.  During my inspection, I applied a raccoon deterrent, hauled away the dead raccoon and set up snap traps in the attic and Crawlspace for rats. I personally was at this home over two hours to start the labor of their work order. I advised the family that our technicians would install a squirrel valve to let the squirrels out and that would be left in place for 3-5 days. Then we would remove the valve and patch that opening. I also reviewed all the specific repairs that needed completed with the homeowner before he signed the agreement. We sent two technicians out to complete the work and they were there about 4 hours, patching a roof return, sealing off the chimney, installing the squirrel valve, patching various holes in the foundation, and sanitizing and bug treating the attic and Crawlspace . Critter Control always uses stainless steel when repairing homes because it prevents critters from regaining access. Since the agreed upon work was completed the customer signed off and was billed according to the agreement he signed. With regard to payment, I collected a deposit at the time of the inspection and our agreement states the same card the deposit was paid with will be billed when the work is completed. I informed the customer that they were welcome to reach out to our call center if they wanted to change the card on file while I was still at their home. As the customer mentioned, the proposal was for about $4,000 including the cost of a monthly reoccurring rodent program. He was refunded more than half of the originally agreed upon price of the job.
