I had an accident on Sunday April 5th 2025 in the city of ************ and a tow company named Curts Towing picked up my car while I was on the way to the hospital and Monday and Today I tried to get my belongings out of my car and they told me I had to pay **************************************************************** law. They said I had to pay the bill and give them insurance and registration which was in my car and they wouldn't let me get it. And they won't let me get my car either. They keep giving me attitude and won't help me. There s******* people out of money when it's against the law to let someone get there personal belongings out of there own vehicle. They have horrible reviews on ****** and I think they should be reported for everything wrong they do. And if I don't pick they vehicle up there saying they will sue me which is also wrong.

I am unsure as to why this is even a complaint. I personally spoke with Buffy up to six times this exact day and explained to her what the charges were for and laid it clearly out for her. She agreed that she understood what the charges were for and had zero complaints about them. Let me start from the top, Buffy and the person she bought this vehicle from (later referred to as "lien holder") came to our storage lot location in ********, ** on Tuesday and brought a trailer to pick up the vehicle, belongings and all. When they got there, our lot attendant called and asked if there were keys so that they could load the vehicle. The vehicle is demolished and no one could find the keys, probably because they were thrown out of the vehicle at the time of the accident. Very common in these situations. Then, the lien holder got aggravated and left because he could not load the vehicle. Buffy called the office here and told us that her lien holder would not help her anymore and that he was mad at her for unknown reasons, I did not get full details on this. I told her that was between her and her lien holder. However, in the meantime Buffy's mother calls and explains that Buffy has medications in the vehicle that no one would let her get out. I then swapped back over to Buffy's call and asked her if she needed to get medications out, and if so then she was absolutely able to get those out of the vehicle without payment of charges. She explained that she got the medications that she could find out of the vehicle because our lot attendant let her access the vehicle. I swapped back over to her mother to explain this and she had hung up. We have not heard from her mother since. Then, she said she still had belongings she needed to go get and she was advised that she was more than welcome to go get those things out at her convenience. She then explained that everyone was mad at her and she did not have a way to get back over to the lot. I asked her if she could call a friend to run her over there and she said she did not have a way to do that either. She said she did not have a way to pay the charges or to pay for a tow for the vehicle to be delivered to her, so we offered the option that she could give us the title instead of paying a monetary value and she said her lien holder would not let her do that, as she had not paid the vehicle in full to him yet. I did not give her an attitude and I did not do anything that would lean towards us s******* her out of money, as we extended all options for her to get her belongings out (for no charge), to pay for the car to be released from our lot and/or for her to leave us with the title, and also an option to pay out the fees and a tow fee for her to get the vehicle back without her having to leave her home. I am actually shocked that I am seeing this complaint as I was very patient and spoke with her multiple times, for extended amounts of time trying to help her with this situation.

On February 23, I was involved in a accident, the banks country sheriff had Curts towing get my vehicle. The following day, the 24th, I attempted to retrieve some needed personal belongings from my vehicle. Which was on Curts towing yard. I was denied access to my vehicle unless I paid $325 accident fee. The ** law 40-11-18 states that I am legally allowed to retrieve my belongings from inside the vehicle up until 30 days, which I was well inside of. I was never allowed access to my vehicle until after the ridiculous charge was paid. The owner acknowledged he was going against the law and voiced that he did not care. To retrieve my belongings the bill had to be paid which totaled of $395. While there I had a more respectable towing company remove the vehicle from their property.
