I am filing a complaint on this business for providing fraudulent information and fraudulent charges against me and others in the facility. On April 17th 2023 I started classes with this business with promises of state board approved hours. Promises of materials needed for class on day one and was told I have a valid instructor. I never got all of my materials promised. The instructors are not legally licensed in the ****************. And all of my money, time and hours were unaccounted for because they lied about the instructors licensing. If you look at the website there is no proof of an esthetician program. The owner only added the course because we (the students) requested it. She did not have a proper instructor like she said, the materials like she said, or the accreditation like she said. She allowed a child (age 8) to run around the facility like a playground and used flammable and dangerous chemicals that filled the building with fumes.I paid about $700 that Ive requested back and she let me know shes deliberately ignoring me (and other students.) I was also awarded and GUARANTEED a $2000 scholarship that the MAYOR of ********* attended so I have loads of proof. As of now that money has not been allocated properly. That being said in total I would appreciate the money promised and the money I am owed totaling up to $2700 (which doesnt include the supplies and materials promised.)I am not the only victim and I know I will not be the last if someone doesnt do something about this. PLEASE help me.

After reading this complaint I am very saddened by the picture as well as the lack of knowledge that this former student has when it comes the the regulations of the ************* board. First my school is in great standards with the board which had just came to visit the school on April 24 and left with zero citations or fines second when I opened my facility in November the state came October 19 of 2022 for a preliminary visit as they do before granting you your final inspection to be able to open. When they came for the preliminary visit they said my school was as close to perfection as they have seen and that they had never granted license on the first visit but they said there was no need to come back and that if they had a spot to give me extra points they would so does this sound like a fraudulent school?

******************* started on April 17 after being chosen by essay to be granted **** off her tuition for which she was to go to La'Virtue Beauty Institute. The award came from the mother of ***************************** my best friend. I was ***************************** mentor and she had plans to be my first student to get her cosmetology license but she passed in an accident her love and passion for the industry was so strong that her mom wanted her daughters legacy to live on in three young ladies..now I feel that one choice was not a great idea. She did not give the scholarship to the three ladies to take and go anywhere because that would be no value to her because all three were strangers so who gets scholarship money. It goes to the school and if you leave the school the funds are forfeit. ******************* left the school on her own not because she was asked to but because she didn't do her homework when it came to the rules and regulations of the Georgia state board. My school is licensed through the board so the hours are good but it is up to another facility as to if they want to take  the hours. Every school is different the former students don't realize that other schools want your hold tuition so they are not wanting to discount your tuition based on hours from another school. I have a student that is scheduled to start next month that has 600 hours from another school and so she lack only 400 hours and I am going to except them because of the person I am. Everything went bad the minute I spoke to the students and the educator in training about the fraternizing that they were doing that was one main factor that causes issues. You don't befriend the students because the boundaries are going to be broken. They didn't like me addressing that. The students and the educator but it was for the best. Now the part that was addressed about the materials. ****** doesn't have 100 hours so the materials she referring to is the kit. She is not needing anything but paper and pens and the books for 240 hours. So other than hand sanitizer and alcohol if she gets a paper cut she was not on the level of materials. I have a small institution with limited space but believe me when she would have gotten to her senior level she would have everything she needed. With that being said I'm not sure about the hazardous chemicals that she is referring to with an 8 year old running around but I do know of her fellow classmate bringing a small 4 month old in the building while class was in session. So when I addressed that issue it was not liked but oh well I explained that eam not getting a fine for her bringing the baby so why she say eight year old running around is beyond me. My administrator reached out to ****** several times and no response then is emailed me saying she can't speak because of legal reasons but she tells you all that I avoided her. Wow The esthetician instructor license were still pending when she interviewed and whatever the case ******* takes pride in the regulations so it can be pending for a while but to start working while waiting on the board to clear her license. Which all they could discuss with me is that they are still pending but not why. So she enrolled in the instructor in training while her license were pending and that is totally legit and she had over 250 clock hours and only had 250 more for the esthetician instructor course totaling 500 is needed for that program so why miss ****** feels it was fraudulent again is beyond me. So if she wants to continue with the hours she has she is welcome to come back and finish. Our doors are open and misunderstanding happen daily. There is no school that gives refunds back if you decide to drop out because how can the school get back the knowledge that was gained while attending. Yes the Mayor of ********* was at the scholarship gala and if it was fraudulent believe me she would not have been apart of it. She was also at my grand opening and presented me with the proclamation to the city because my school made HISTORY in ********* *******. First beauty school. So I should know that it comes with a cost. But I'm thankful for the rain because it makes me appreciate the Sunshine. Here is my inspection from the ****************.. Licensed through the Board My first student completed her 750 clock hours and is preparing to go to PSI in ***** for testing. So while they are talking fraudulent. We sending students to get licensed. Thanks for sharing

I am rejecting this response because: I was lied to about the circumstances that came with attending this school prior to attending. I am requesting a full refund of what I have paid out of pocket at this time. When I agreed to attend it was under the false information that was provided to me as I have previously stated. This has absolutely nothing to do with how I feel about you or the school per say, but simply what was told to me prior to attending. I see you have a lot of emotions behind this situation however I would like to focus on the fact you did not have a actual instructor, kits, or materials as I was told. Again I truly appreciate your cooperation and understanding and hope we can come to some terms to settle this. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

The Hours that ****** obtained are good with the ******* board of regulations with the secretary of state..and as I stated it is totally up to the institution if they want to accept them or not when you try to transfer to another school as any trade school or college so because she wanted to jump on the wagon with her fellow classmate and being coached by the educator in training that has gone on with her life is not my fault.. La'Virtue Beauty Institute is open and operating..she is welcome to finish her hours and finish her goals of becoming an esthetician..I don't have much more to say about this complaint but I do know that declamation of character is against the law..Do your homework before making quick spontaneous decisions as in the game of chess Thanks for your time.

I am rejecting this response because:
You introduced every as a instructor. They were instructors to be. Simple. I was lied to. When the instructor I was originally learning from left, I was open to staying until the new instructor also was not licensed to teach came in and I fell Ill as you allowed her child to play in the nail chemicals and I even mentioned it. I would like the money I paid out of pocket back given that I was under the impression I would be learning from licensed instructors. Thank you again.
    Sincerely,
