After rescuing a dog, we've tried to have the chip information transferred to our name. After receiving an email asking to call ******* at Southeastern doodles the man who answered the phone was extremely rude and hungbup on me several times when I was unable to identify "what company I represent". They have since refused to transfer the chip information into our name. I simply want to have the chip information transferred since we legally own the dog and they have no claim to ownership

Subject: Response to BBB Complaint **** *****

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by Mr. **** ***** and would like to provide further clarification regarding this situation.
Mr. ***** contacted us regarding a microchip transfer for a rescue dog. During our conversation, we simply asked him to clarify the reason for his call before transferring him to my wife, Shakira ******* Rather than providing an explanation, he became aggressive, refused to answer, and resorted to cursing at me, calling me derogatory names, and demanding to speak with ******** Despite my efforts to reset the conversation and move forward in a professional manner, his behavior remained hostile.
We understand that Mr. ***** is a military veteran and may be dealing with PTSD-related challenges. We respect his service and genuinely want to help resolve this matter. However, we will not tolerate bullying, harassment, or false accusations against us on social media or elsewhere.
That being said, we are willing to proceed with the microchip transfer under the following conditions:
An ****************** must acknowledge and apologize for his inappropriate behavior during our conversation.
A Condition Report He must provide a report on the condition and well-being of the dog. As responsible breeders and rescuers, we care deeply about the welfare of every dog we place.

Removal of Defamatory ****************** must remove all derogatory and false statements he has posted about us on social media.
Once these conditions are met, we will promptly proceed with the microchip transfer. We remain open to resolving this in a professional and respectful manner, but we will not engage further if the hostility and harassment continue.
      Best regards,
      **** ******

      Customer Answer

      Date: 03/21/2025

      Complaint: 23087015

I am rejecting this response because:

While Mr. ******* version of events significantly diverges from the facts, we would like to offer the following resolution in response:

A comprehensive condition report for the adopted dog will be provided. The dog has been placed in a loving and responsible home, and we have never had any issue in proving this fact.

Upon successful transfer and verification of the chip ownership, we will update the relevant social media profiles and review sites to reflect that an amicable resolution has been reached.

We will not be issuing an apology to Mr. ******* His portrayal of the events in question is highly distorted. His use of vulgar language, refusal to engage in constructive conversation, and subsequent actionssuch as hanging up on the call after aggressively cursingcontributed directly to the negative environment he now complains about.

As a proud veteran who served this country, Mr. ******* assumptions about my mental health are both inappropriate and offensive. However, I do not seek an apology from him. My only request is that the chip ownership be transferred as required, and that I am able to move forward from this situation.
      Sincerely,

      **** ****
