    On May 5, 2021, I contracted with Lewis Concrete Inc., located *****************************************************************************************. I completed the contract to have my entire driveway replaced. I also submitted a down payment in the amount of $4423.86 on May 5, 2021. The work was scheduled and began approximately on August 3, 2021. During the first day of removing the old concrete, the on-site manager broke one of my underground water lines. After turning off the water from the main valve I requested plywood be laid to protect any other lines from damage. Despite my request as the homeowner, the manager continued the work without using the plywood and broke two additional water lines. The ground was completely saturated which resulted in a large concrete truck being stuck in my driveway for two hours. I also asked the on-site manager if I needed to cover my landscape lights and was told it would not be damaged. The landscape lights were destroyed by cement spatter. Although the company deducted the damage for the landscape lights from the final ****, this is an example of the difficulty I experienced with the on-site manager. Finally, the last section of the driveway that was poured did not have enough cement and was stretched to finish the job. The cement was also joined in a way that it produced a ***** foot crack within a week of being completed. When I addressed the issue with the owner (**** Lewis), he agreed to give me a 18-month warranty rather that the standard 6-month warranty. This warranty is supposed cover the very issue I currently have. This also includes discoloration in large sections of the driveway that were supposed to blend in over time and has not. However, despite repeated calls during the last 4-weeks, I cannot get anyone to address the issue. I did pay the final balance of $13,669.73 on August 13, 2021. I would like my driveway repaired and have the look of a brand new driveway without a noticeable, unsightly and large crack.

    ********************** is a good customer and very easy to work with. Although every project is different with unique challenges, we addressed any issues in person, (referring to the  pictures), and he was satisfied with the outcome.  Although there was no immediate issue at the time of one concerned spot, we extended his warranty at no additional charge. We are living in challenging times with labor, supply, and material issues and apparently have not communicated well to any calls of concern. We pride ourselves in prompt response times to all our customers past, present and future. We ALWAYS stand behind our work, ALWAYS. We will be reaching out in the coming days toward a positive resolution for any warranty issues he may have.

    I am rejecting this response because: *********** didnt contact me as they said they would in their response to my original complaint. I contacted the owner this morning and he said he would come by on Friday July 15th. However, the directions from BBB said I have to respond by July 15th. If he doesnt show up, my time to respond will have expired. Additionally, I was never told what the resolution would be.

    I have talked with the owner of Lewis Concrete (**** **********************) via text on 2 separate occasions since filing my initial complaint and I was told he would come to my home on either July 14th or July 15th. He did NOT come as promised nor did he call to inform me that he would not be able to come. Additionally, I texted him on Monday July 18th and he texted me and said he would try to come by one day this week. Today is Wednesday July 20th and I have not heard from Mr. ********************** nor has he come by as previously promised.
