    I recently had an issue with one of Blue Force Gear's slings. I contacted them and requested a refund or replacement. I received an automated response stating that a representative would contact me shortly. Soon after the auto email a representative asked me for pictures of the issue, so I followed up with pictures and another description of the issue. I followed up multiple times, but never received a response from ***. I then spoke with a different *** representative, who emailed me asking for more pictures. I sent those same pictures and still have not heard back from them either. This is unacceptable conduct by a company that claims to stand behind its products.

    Good afternoon, ******,We want to thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention and we truly appreciate the chance to make it right! We hope after speaking with our Customer Success Representative that we were able to provide the customer service you expected and should always receive. To publicly address the complaint, our standard procedure for returns isn't set up to accommodate purchases made outside of Blue Force Gear. Since the sling was bought through a dealer, we needed to implement a different method to process the request. We are working to integrate these new procedures within our system to ensure situations like this do not happen again. With this return request now on our radar, we have since sent a replacement sling along with two hats as well as a separate package of complimentary branded items, which includes a discount code for future use. Blue Force Gear's standard is excellence, and it is our desire for everyone to experience white-glove service and superior equipment.

    I purchased a custom ******* Sling in May 2024. Shipping was only slightly delayed and their email correspondence throughout the sales process was plentiful. I received the sling and immediately noticed it was not as I had ordered. The pull tab was OD Green and not Ranger Green as I specified so no color match with back section webbing which was also Ranger Green.For the front section I chose Black webbing. I noticed that they used a thicker and wider webbing for the front section. So in total the sling looked like 2 different slings made into one. Not appealing at all. I emailed them the issues and after 4 emails they still did not respond. It states on their ordering page to make sure that you want what you ordered because there are no refunds or returns for custom slings. They also state that If there is ever a problem - well make it right..For some reason I was able to submit a return request from my order within their website. Im sure they will fix soon. It automatically generated a return #. So I emailed them and said I would be returning it for correction. Low and behold they got back me right away with this reply Return Not Approved Unfortunately your return request has been denied due to the following reason:All Custom Sling Purchases are final Thank you for understandingI have never before seen a company force you to accept something other than what was ordered. Unwilling to do something as simple as sewing on a new pull tab to make it right is somehow not an option, but keeping my money with complete disregard to their own mistake is OK. Im a Marine veteran and Im appalled that this company is making money on government contracts and yet treating their customers with complete disrespect. ********************** is unethical and dishonorable and should be stripped of all government contract. There are plenty other high quality gear manufacturers that are better deserving than this company.

    ****************, Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. Ive spoken to our customer service team, and no one has received your emails requesting the reason for the refund. The only thing that was received was the refund request and because the request was for a custom sling it was automatically denied. One of our reps has reached out to you directly via email so that we can get you the correct sling free of charge. We will also gladly refund you and allow you to keep the sling that was sewn with the incorrect adjuster. Please check your email and respond at your convenience so we can get you taken care of ASAP!

    I placed an order on 11/14/22 for 2 items from BFG. While I was looking forward to utilizing them, I never had the opportunity due to the complete incompetence of this company. On 3 separate occasions I contacted them, once by email, twice by phone, each 1 week apart. Each time I was told some variation of my item was on back order and would be shipped out to me as soon as possible. The company's website says nothing about items being back ordered or out of stock and their FAQs state most orders are shipped within 2-7 days of ordering. 3 weeks later I still have not gotten passed "processing". Today, I contacted the company again and was met with hostility from a *************************. While attempting to explain my frustration with the way the company handles business and customer grievances, ******************** cut me off mid sentence and proceeded to, in a very hostile and rude manner, explain that he would put my refund through before abruptly ending the call. While I have heard good things about this company, both from my prior military capacity and my current first responder capacity, I am sure their products are likely top notch. However, it seems that getting one's hands on said products or dealing with an employee capable of handling disgruntled customers as an adult are out of reach. I will not be giving this company any further business and in situations where the company may come up in conversation, I will be sure to share my experience with my fellow first responders and advise them to look elsewhere for their equipment.
