    Me & Spouse were looking for homes to rent due to Military relocation. We expressed to ***** that we would like to be moved in by December 1st which she said was perfect. Everything was going according to plan after we filed out our applications until it was time to do my screening and I haven’t received an email. I sent a message to ***** November 20th to confirm that she had the right email address on file and she confirmed she did. After the screening wasn’t sent out again ***** was very distant and we had to reach out to her multiple times in regards to the home. She then blamed us for not having it filed out when we communicated this multiple times to confirm the email address was correct. Long story short Dec 1st passed and we still haven’t heard a decision from her until a few days later. ***** basically gave us the run around for the rental property with horrible communication and no accountability on her end. So I would like to dispute the $75 charge due to ***** being very unprofessional during the process and blaming us for the delay.

    During the application process there were several delays:

    1. Further review of the application due to the previous landlord not releasing information for the applicants. This was due to a prior issue with the previous landlord and applicants which we allowed for further review on the applicant's behalf instead of denying the applicant immediately.

    2. During the application submission that is entered and completed by the applicant, an error inputting the email address by the applicant was made. Although I glanced at the email address that was submitted by the applicant in the system, I did not see their error where they typed of .

    The application entry is the responsibility of the applicant to enter and review prior to submitting. 

    3. During the application delay due to the email entered incorrectly, the Thanksgiving holiday occurred during that timeframe and our office was closed for Thanksgiving and the following day (we are always closed on the weekends). Upon returning to the office on Monday, I immediately began reviewing everything to see if the screening reports were available. 

    4. As explained to the applicants, I attempted to see if there was a chance for an exception from the property owner to allow the applicants to reserve the home and to be approved but unfortunately the owners did not wish to approve. A confirmed or guaranteed move in date was not provided to them and only a desired move in date was mentioned by the applicants so therefor, we cannot be held liable for the hardship this may have caused for their move in date.

    It is unfortunate and I did try to assist in making this work for them, but the error was initially on the applicants entry and further delayed due to the review of the reports not meeting our criteria which also caused our company additional time spent on communicating, reviewing and processing the application. I have provided the application where the applicant signed electronically stating the statements entered in the application are true and correct. The revision to the email had to be made on the application on my end in order to allow the screening process to be completed. The application also states that it is not an agreement to rent.
