We rented RV site for a month and due to very cold temps we had to sign a paper stating that if the hydrant isnt unhooked and they have to repair due to frozen/cracked pipes we would have to pay ******. Well it got cold and hose was unhooked from hydrant but the yellow connector piece from our hose(its an open ring mind you) was stuck on hydrant still and they charged us ****** to just remove that. The water worked and was not frozen and didnt have any leaks because we used it to empty and clean septic before we left on feb 26th 2025. We went to talk to people the next day feb 27th and told them we had pics and videos of the water working fine and that nothing was new or repaired ( my husband is very familiar with these water hydrants as he works as an irrigation technician) and the lady in office said he had to repair an inside part and then the maintenance man showed up and said he didnt repair anything yet and that he had to turn water off because it was leaking. Mind you the day before we were using the water as I stated and it was working fine. Well we went back to site before we left again and they did turn the water off so we turned it back on and it worked fine again. The owner said they werent giving me my money back so this is bad business and they are crooks. Nothing was or needed to be repaired they just charged my card on file because they said they can and were very rude about it. We plan on taking them to civil court over this as well if they dont give us our money back before all that.

To whom it may concern, On Feb.12 2025 the mother of two young ppl. rented a site for her son and girlfriend. The mother paid for the reservation as well as signed all documentation. One document which I will provide clearly states that if there are freezing temperatures the customer is to disconnect everything from their water hydrant or pay $400.00 for damages. On feb. 18th and 19th a text was sent out to all customers reminding them to disconnect. The site in dispute did not disconnect, which caused damage to our hydrant.  Our maintenance man went to their site 3 times to unthaw the water where they had not unhooked. The top had a crack in it as well as the rod inside was bent from someone forcing handle down. We have since replaced the complete hydrant which calls for digging it up with a backhoe and replacing the hydrant which costs   $203.32     so with parts and labor it costs us more than we charged, in hindsight I should have charged $400.00 as paperwork stated but was trying to be nice. The customer called my wife and she explained what had happened. Thursday Feb 27, she showed up at office with a man who was very rude to the front desk manager who called me. I called my maintenance man to go talk to him and he in turn was hollering at him and threatened him. My wife got there and got between them and they left. I arrived and immediately called The Rabun county Sheriff who sent a deputy who watched the video and I filed a complaint as well as blackballed them from ever returning .We have been in business for 6 years and have had well over ******* guests and this is the first complaint ever with the BBB. I will attach all documentation the customer signed for your review.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

You people are crooks and liars. We have video and picture evidence of no repairs done. All you had to do was warm it back up with torch there was nothing that needed fixed.. you only had to take off the connector piece from our hose that was left on hydrant. You failed to realize that the man who accompanied me is an irrigation technician and hes put these hydrants in more times than you can count and he thoroughly inspected it after you said you did such repairs which is bogus we have proof in those pictures that you charged my card before you even knew what you had to do to supposedly repair so where is the receipts and pictures on your end? Time and date stamped like our pictures and videos are? Your own repair man said he didnt even make repairs when we were there on Thursday and that he had to turn the water off to fix it but again thats bogus because we used the hydrant the day before and the water was not even turned off yet so after we left on Wednesday sometime is when he came and shut the water off. It works fine and nothing was broke.. you cant fool people who know more about hydrants than you. Its on you all to make this right. Ive seen your reviews, maybe you need to go and read the not so good ones and own up to how rude you actually are. Cant run a successful business being that way. One day you will have to meet your maker and answer for all your sins.

    Sincerely,

To whom it may concern, . As we said her irresponsible son did not unhook the water and it froze, evidently she takes no responsibility and his mom thinks he's done no wrong.  She is correct we had not changed it out before they left we had to wait on the parts. Attached are pics of the work that was done. As I mentioned before the parts costs more than I charged. As for ******* it out its not our job its the customers responsibility to obey the rules. If it was my child he would be paying for his laziness and negligence but evidently not yours. Take us to small claims court let them decide.  If i need a sermon I will go to church. RESPONSIBILITY get some. Pic #1 is the day it froze and they could not get the yellow piece off. Hose was busted. Top of the blue hydrant has a crack in it.  Picture #2,3,4 are of the fix.
