Date of service was March 15th-April 6th of 2023. The date of the first bill we received was 11-27-2023 which told us it was over 120 days over due on a bill we had just received. My insurance paid ADC $75,720.32. After multiple conversations we were promised that Atlanta Detox was in network for my insurance (it clearly was not) and we were promised by two individuals that any extra payment I would be put on tuition for my stay. My wife and I tried for two months to get in touch with ADC regarding the tuition that was promised and our calls were ignored and never returned after over 8 voicemails were left. We are disputing the fact that this balance was supposed to be put on tuition so I should not have received a bill at all and the fact we were lied to regarding ADC being in our insurance network. ADC tried to resolve the issue by offering a 20% discount which is just not an adequate resolve for over an $11,000 bill and being paid over $75,000. I tried to tell ADC that we would pay them a one time payment of $4,000 to resolve this bill (which would have been the amount due if they were in-network for my insurance.
