      We contracted with floor Covering International (**** ******* - Sales **** on May 13th, 2025 to have our living room, dining room, sunroom and steps replaced with Engineered Hardwood and three bedrooms carpeted, at that time we were told the project would be stared on June 12, 2025 for a total of cost of $1349.36 minus $1342 down payment for a balance of $12087.36 On, June 12, 2025 two contractors came to the house about 12 noon to remove carpet from 6 rooms and two sets of stairs and then they started working on the wood floors until 5pm. Then the contractors came back on June 13, 2025 and finished the wood floors at 9 pm, but didn't do the landing because they didn't have enough flooring. about 5:30pm a contactor came to install the carpet, but after he looked around at the rooms he left and then we found out the next day the carpet installer said there wasn't enough carpet to do the rooms the measures were incorrect. Then June 17, 2025 another carpet installer came to install the carpet and he said there wasn't enough carpet to complete 3 rooms. He showed us the carpet he had and it was defected so we said we didn't want that carpet. Later that day ****** ****** come to the house to drop off additional wood flooring and told us someone would install it that day, no one showed up. I texted Mr. ****** he said they would be here Friday 20, 2025 to complete the work, however, after the date kept getting changed we told them we could no longer work with them and just give us a total for the work that was completed. We asked to be compensated for the missteps and they refused. We hired someone to install the carpet June 20, 2025 and we ended up paying more. As of today we still have to hire someone to install the wood to the landing, so in the long run we are going to have to pay about $1500 to $1700 to complete what floor Covering International did not complete. We were always calling or texting daily to get an update, there was a lack of communication.
