On ******* *** 2022 I had my ************* ***** towed by Stephens brothers for repairs. At this point my truck was still running and driving. I had it towed to their shop and was quoted 350 on the phone for the tow. Was charged 550 for the tow. After many calls on repairs of the truck I talked to Allen (who is shop manager) who told me that they reset the codes and tried to drive and regen the truck to see if it would fix the issue. The light on the dash before this said to stop engine and have dpf repairs done. While they were doing the regen they blew the turbo, broke the actuator and damaged the dpf filter, doc filter, scr filter beyond repairs and ended up costing me 41,000 in repairs at a certified mechanic. If they would have diagnosed the problem which is what I paid for they would have kept from blowing the turbo and destroying everything. I am seeking compensation before reaching out to any attorneys. This also caused me to be down for over 2 months losing my income. When they called they said my truck no longer runs and they wanted 19,000 to fix it. I didn't feel like they were competent in repairs and had it taken to a certified mechanic. They also pushed to just delete the dpf system for $4500 saying it would be the easiest fix for the truck. It is illegal in all states to remove the dpf system on any vehicle that came with one from the manufacturer.
