This company sent me a message via their company text line on February 27th 2024 insuring that my rent would not increase if I renewed my lease. The message simply said “reply YES” to renew your lease. Nothing was ever sent for me to physically sign and they do not have a physical office for me to go to and sign papers. They have only a mail box at the *** store that they use as a business address. Everything is handled via text message or an app called ******** that is used to pay the rent monthly, which led me to believe that the lease had been effectively renewed based on the message sent on February 27th. However this morning I received a notification that my rent would be increasing and stating that I am not currently in a lease. I was under the impression that my lease was considered renewed after my interaction with the company on February 27th and they refused to acknowledge that said interaction had any validity or that they had any obligation whatsoever to stand by the agreement made. My rent has already been increased 3 times since first becoming a tenant.

Upon my departure from a rental property I requested an itemized list of charges being taken out of my deposit since I had completed their move out check list they provided. At no time was a list given to justify the deductions that is required by law to be given if monies are withheld from a security deposit. I have contacted the management company and no response given when information was given, except to say paint and spackle. Per move out instructions all holes were to be filled, not painted for which no paint was provided to do so. This information is needed if and when I decide to file a claim in court seeking 3 times the deposit for not providing a detailed and itemized invoice for deductions.

Been living in a rental property for the last 12 months, my lease ends at the end of this month, September 31st. I forgot to give a 30 day notice due to dealing with issues with the house itself. I’ve filed numerous complaints with the rental agency with issues such as gaps in the windows allowing cockroaches to intrude the house. Attic not properly closed off, and there being a hole in the side of the house where the older electrical was connected, allowing cockroaches to enter through and come into the house via the attic. A weird, funky smell coming from the front closet that they couldn’t distinguish, and couldn’t fix. I’ve reported the cockroaches and that it was due to the house issues with the holes and numerous other holes where bugs can get in, but they just sent out a person to spray around the house and ceased to fix the problems at hand. Health inspectors and ridgeberry rentals repair gentleman came out to access the damage and documented issues such as the main power to the house not properly insulated, the walls and ceiling of the house having previous water damage, so they were bowing in, the walls falling apart as in certain areas falling apart in sections, they documented the window not being properly sealed off from bugs. My issues have been neglected and none of them properly taken care of, even small ones such as the bathroom door not properly closing, or the fans in the house making noises and unable to turn on due to wear and tear. I’m leaving before the 31st, going to leave the house in better condition then when I got it, but because I didn’t give the 30 day notice, they won’t give me my security deposit back. I don’t plan to live in a house filled with hazards, cock roaches each and every day coming into the house for another 30 days to get my security deposit back. All I want is my security deposit back. Thank you!
