    Complaint Summary:

    I am filing a complaint against Mr. **** Burns of Burns Maintenance & More in Rossville, Georgia regarding a contract dispute for incomplete and substandard work at my property, located at ***** ******* ***** ***** ****** **. Despite paying half of the agreed amount ($5,652.50) upfront, the work performed was minimal, of poor quality, and caused damage to my property.

    Complaint Details:

    On June 17, 2024, I entered into an agreement with Mr. Burns to perform renovations on my property for a total of $11,305.00. As per the agreement, I paid him 50% upfront, totaling $5,652.50. Unfortunately, after cashing my check, Mr. Burns only painted the roof and interior ceiling, but the work was poorly executed and will need to be redone. In addition to this, he caused damage to my countertop, cabinets, and some fixtures, further increasing my repair costs.

    The cost of repairing the damage and replacing the materials far exceeds any work or materials he claims to have provided. Mr. Burns' actions constitute a breach of contract, as well as deceptive and unfair practices under Tennessee law.

    Desired Resolution:

    I am requesting a full refund of the $5,652.50 I paid to Mr. Burns. I believe this is a reasonable resolution given the lack of work completed, the poor quality of the work that was performed, and the additional damage caused to my property.

    If I do not receive a refund within a reasonable timeframe (7 days), I will be pursuing legal action for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and damages, including potential attorney fees.

    Have you heard from the company? No, I have sent a letter from my attorney that was hand delivered to Mr. Burns at his residence. He has not responded.

    **** Burns and ****** ******** of Burns Maintenance & More have completely avoided me and have not delivered the materials or the labor for a project that was agreed to be completed in June. They caused significant damaged to my property and stole over $5600. I am considering filing a police report as the next step.

    I would appreciate any advice that you can offer to help us settle this matter.
