I brought an attic fall from Apex home company. This product is not working properly.Business Response

Apex Home Technology was shocked that this was filed. ***** has not contacted us since the last service call completed Dec. 2 2023.
This has been referred to the service department. They will contact customer and arrange for service.
Apex Home Technology sent ***** an email in response to the BBB.
I have received your BBB complaint.
Our service department have you on the list to come out to inspect. We have completed two service calls from the past.You have asked the end of August to compare electric bills. I requested for you to send the **** electric bills to compare. The dates are below.
This would be: Before install: March 2022 to Feb 2023. After Install: April 2023 to now.I usually do a full year. But I'm more than happy to do 5 months for you.

I am rejecting this response because: ************ has been out to my home twice after notifying them about my complaint. Nothing has been resolved. They are in denial about the product not working in my home, after me stating to them that its not. The product not working is the MLI for the Attic.

We will address the issue under our warranty and inspection on the installation of the products that you purchased from us.
To make a blanket statement that the system does not work is defamatory. Apex Home Technology has done over ***** homes to improve the quality of living by having a "green" **** of the ***** ****** efficient products. The Multi Layer Insulation is used by ***** Firefighters and in many other products to reflect back to its' source. We take pride in our products and installation.

I am rejecting this response because:I went to Apex Home Technology presentation and I was informed about the MLI Attic product. In the presentation, it was mentioned that the product would keep your home cool in the summer time and warm in the winter months. Also, it was mentioned that there would be a lower cost in your energy bill. I purchased the MLI attic product on March 10th, 2023. I was told to give the product around 3 months to start seeing results. After that time period past, I have seen no results. I notified Apex about the product not functioning in my home like they said it would work. They came out 2 times to my home and the issue has not been resolved. I also discovered that Apex offers more than one type of MLI Attic product and I was not told that during their presentation and upon my sale purchase. Therefore, this makes me wonder if I was sold the right product for my home. Since I contacted the Better Business Bureau, Apex has not reached out to me and talked to me about fixing this issue. Also, to say that Im making a blanket statement is incorrect. I am speaking my truth from my personal experiences. This is what me and my family is experiencing in our home. We would not say that the product is not working if it was not true. That is a straight fact and to think otherwise is insinuating that we are not be truthful. Also, letting me know about your companys statistics is irrelevant, because once again this is from my personal experience. The product is not working in my home. Im dealing and going through these experiences with my family. Plus, Im making my monthly payments on time and Im still receiving no service. Im no longer going back and forth. If you all cannot resolve the issue I would like to receive a full refund.

Service for *************** was completed.
RESULT: The insulation of the Multi-Layer Insulation was installed perfectly and had no blemishes or sign of any defect regarding this product. This is the same product that was shown prior to the purchase.
Suggestion: Add 2 more Solar fans on their roof to help with the ventilation in his enormously large attic. **************** declined this NO-COST additional service to him. Value of $3,590.00
We have attached the service completion signed by *************** and our service technician.
We also add the disclaimer on the sales contract which was signed by all parties at the time of the sale.

I am rejecting this response because:I went to the presentation of Apex Home, and I was told that this product would keep my house warm during the winter, and cool during the summer. Since this product has been installed in my home, my house has been more colder in the winter months and more hotter in the summer months. Apex Home offered me two fans. A technician came out on 3/19/24 and he offered to install the two fans. I showed the technician the temperature in my house and he was not able to tell me why my house was freezing. My complaint is with the MLI product. The technician signed a certificate stating that I was not satisfied with the material. There needs to be no more going back and forth because the fact is, the product is not working in my home. Im forever standing on getting a full refund for this product.

On January 18, 2023, we (my partner, *********************) and I purchased services and merchandise from Apex Home Technology. We spent over $16k and the installation was done the following two days. The installer laid a vapor barrier and installed a solar fan in the crawl space.On March 10, 2023, we had a foundation inspector out to look at the main house and the rental unit. The inspector took pictures of our crawl spaces and the pictures showed that the vapor barrier was not installed as we were told it would be installed. There were gaps, the barrier was not wrapped on the columns or up the wall and there were spaces that had no vapor barrier at all. Also, the solar fan was installed in a corner so it was essentially ineffective in keeping the space dry. The inspector also took pictures of the humidity levels and it was above the levels that it should have been with the vapor barrier and solar fan in place.On March 22, 2023, we contacted our representative, *******************, who told us to contact customer service, which we did and left a voice message. On that same day, the installer, *******************, contacted us and told us that he would come to fix the problem on March 31, 2023 or April 1, 2023.On April 3, 2023 and April 4, 2023, we contacted customer service because we had not heard from *****, ***** or customer service. Both times, we received a recording that "*****" was out of the office and would contact us. We have had no call backs.At this time, we will be pursuing a refund from the company.Business Response

i was told that the intrest was included in price that was given me ********* and this included any and all charges. i have called company numerous times and salesman that made contract with me and no one responds to anything. so i will be filing clzim in court for predatory lending.
