We contacted Bath Fitters around the 1st part of October, 2023 and *** ******** came out on 10/6/23 to give us an estimate on renovating the shower in master bedroom. We gave him a check at that time for $3440 as a deposit. We asked if the work could be completed before Thanksgiving and he assured us that it would be. We did not hear anymore from them until 11/8/23 when *** ***** came out to do measurements. The job did not actually get started until 1/26/24 and was not completed until 3/8/24. We were instructed by the repairman to always rinse the shower and door down to remove the soap scum after each shower. However when we did we noticed water pouring out from the bottom corners of the door. We contacted Bath Fitters and they sent someone out on 6/5. He did not correct the problem, then someone else came out on maybe two other dates. At one time they said the door was put in upside down. However we continued to have the same issue. Someone came out again on 6/28/24 doing the same thing that they had done previously. My husband was totally disgusted by this time and told him to leave and that he would take further action against the company. We always have to put towels on the floor when showering because of the water leakage which should not we happening. We would like very much to get this issued resolved and would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.

    Hello,

We will send out our regional installation manager to meet with you to see what is going on with the doors.

    Thank you

I have talked to my regional install manager.  There is a few drops off water coming out when they spray their handheld directly at the door.  We have told the customer, we can't fully stop water going through the door, it is similar to the front door for your house, if you spray water at it some will get through.  If the customer stops spraying directly at the opening, it will stop.

I am rejecting Bath Fitters response for the following reasons:

    1. I get more than a few drops of water on the floor of the shower it's more of a puddle as the door does not fit tightly at the bottom when closed

    2. The bottom piece (I think is a door sweep) fell off when I was cleaning the door is not securely  fitted.  I need this placed on correctly to prevent water from coming out onto the floor.

    Hello,

I have attached our door supplier's safety protocols.  Shower doors are not leak proof and if you spray them directly at the opening like that they will leak.

    Thank you

Is there anything that can be done by Bath Fitters to make the strip at the bottom of the door more secure?

    Business Response

    Date: 07/21/2024

There is not much we can do to make it more secure. I can send our manager out to see if there is anything else we can do. But if you do see the warning from our manufacturer for doors, if you spray a handheld at the door like that water will continue to spill out.

Would I do business with Bath Fitter in Savannah, *******? ASBOLUTELY NOT! A lady sales representative came to our house on May 14, 2024. I signed a three day Notice of Cancellation for a walk in shower. Sales representative reached out to a man to come by to check on measurements and then order supplies. I gave the gentleman and name of my neighbor and phone number to call on Monday to set up time to come to my house. He didnt call my neighbor that week. Another week goes by and my husband and I decided to sell our house. At this point, no one has stop by to take measurements and order supplies. I called sales representative of the company we could have an exception to the rules because I was moving and no one called or stopped by for meansurements. So at this point NO SUPPLIES HAVE BEEN ORDERED. The representative transferred me to another person, who transferred to another person, then another person. I explained my situation to four different employees. Then I spoke to the ***************** Manager. He then said he would have to take this situation to upper management. The manager said that the upper management declined my down payment refund of $3,699.00 but could use the amount on another install within the year. Im moving into a new house which doesnt need a new bathroom. In conclusion, these companies do not even comply with their own contracts and these contracts are written for their benefit. Moral, hire an experienced local contractor in the neighborhood, you will get a better deal and savings.

    Hello,

************************* signed a contract on 5/14/24.  We have a 3 day NOC which is legally binding.  She contacted us on 6/17/24 after the 3 days to try and cancel, based on our contract she will have 1 year to complete her job at that price.

    Thank you
