      4/15/2024 my garbage can was stolen from my driveway. I didnt realize it til Saturday 4/12/2024. I called ABC Waste immediately on Monday morning to report what had happened. The young lady I initially spoke with told me that she would reach out to the dispatcher to check if theyd picked it up by accident. I knew they hadnt done that. I usually take my dog out while theyre picking up the trash and they had and left the can. A different person called me back with my can number for me to go around the neighborhood and check if any of my neighbors had taken it. I told her that none of my neighbors have **** She then told me that shed call me back after speaking to the dispatcher. I finally called them back a couple of hours later and asked if the dispatcher had been called, she told me yes and that they hadnt removed the can. My next question to her was what was the process moving forward. She then told me that I would have to purchase another can. I told her no. This was not my fault, but simply no. I asked for a refund for the service and the lady mentioned shed speak to her manager so she put the call on hold. She then came back to the phone and let me k ow that her manager stated, its wasnt our fault either. Meaning the theft of the can so I was not going to receive a refund. Mind you, I made the call to them on 4/15 immediately once they opened back up from the weekend. They received my payment on 4/11 for services to be rendered from April-July. *** found a new servicer for my trash pick up BUT, should they be able to keep funds for services theyre not providing?

      Once a trash can or piece of equipment is delivered it is the customers responsibility to keep track of it. It is more common than one might think for individuals to get service and sell there trash can to someone trying to get free service and then call our office to ask for a new can claiming theres was stolen.

      We would be happy to deliver a new can free of charge but will not be issuing a refund.
