Purchased driving lessons many years ago- pre COVID. Have 6 remaining lessons id like to utilize as a refresher after not driving for the past 3+ years. I have been trying to contact someone for close to 3 weeks now. Originally received a response but only after having to hound repeatedly. Responses stopped once I asked for proof that I was aware of cancellation policy. Who I spoke with, ****** is trying to claim I must pay $90 in cancellation fees to have my remaining hours released to me. I do not recall ever cancelling or even being made aware of this policy so I asked for proof like a signed contract or any record of me cancelling. That was a week, 4 emails and 2 voicemails ago. Radio Silence. These lessons weren't cheap and I think it's ridiculous to hold 6 hours which goes for $455 today hostage. I informed ****** if this wasn't resolved by yesterday 6/11 afternoon that I would have no choice but to outline my horrendous experience and theft of my pre-purchased hours online and to the BBB so here we are. Do not recommend. Looks like this is common behavior for this company after scouring reviews across multiple platforms.

The student scheduled 3 lessons in 2018. Our driver went to their house 3 times for the lessons and the student did not show. There is a cancellation for lessons that are not canceled 24 hours prior to the ******* Once the student pays the cancellation fees their hours will be released.

On 7/21/2023 I booked 8 hours of driving I was only able to attend 2 hours of the scheduled lessons. The remaining 6 hours were either falsely reported as completed or cancelled, without any valid reason or communication from the company. I demand that A1 driving school issue a full refund for the unused portion of the driving lessons as well as compensate me for the time and inconvenience they have caused.
