they installed a stand-by generator in Jan. 2022. after about a month we started having a problem with the unit staying on ready. Called the owner and he said he'd come by. never showed up, but the problem seemed to disappear, so we let it go. But he never came back to help us set up the wi-fi or give us the promised oil change. Same problem stated in again. Someone came out, said they had to order a part and would be back. Owner came back with no part and said nothing wrong. Said, after 11 months, we needed to get a bigger gas meter and router extender before it could be fixed. Took care of those things. Still wouldn't stay on. ******* said we needed a bigger rod in the back of the unit, 1 1/2 inches. said the right one was on, 1/2 inch. Early this morning electricity went out and the generator did not come on. Called generac and they tried to walk me through a manual start, nothing worked. Texted the owner who told us to go to the fire department (husband on oxygen 24/7) or call 911 and said he couldn't get it fixed, found out the emergency service wanted $600 just to come out for a unit under the original warranty. Requested the owner pay for it and he completely ignored me. Generac, thankfully found another company to come out and do the warranty work. Still waiting to hear from the owner. He was great at taking my money, fixing a problem, not so much.

My apologies to ***** and her husband for this inconvenience during this winter storm. I understand a spouse on oxygen without backup tanks is a very stressful situation. Last night before the winter storm we had fielded calls for service and just general concerns of customers and non-customers till 10 pm. By 4 am we had began fielding calls from customers and non-customers and scheduling service calls that morning. By the time we had gotten ****** voice mail at 6:30 we had already had appts scheduled for that morning. ***** insisted we get out immediately. By 8am ***** had contacted Generac and gotten another dealer to make a service call. I had 2 weeks prior had completed a service call on a Saturday to her home replacing the Controller under warranty due to a possible lightning strike. We tested the system together and provided instructions on how to reset a controller if in the event she should ever get a red light fault. Prior to that a service tech was there due to a service request that she had a red light on her generator. That prompted me to return with a new controller. The gas line had not been upgraded to a no cost larger meter and regulator from the gas co. At that point and we felt that lack of volume may have caused the system shutdown during a previous self test. As the gas company upgraded the meter recently the meter installer suggest the rod was not big enough. I assume the rod they are talking about is the gas installed for the Generator. The recommendation from Generac for that size unit is 3/4 for *** 10 and 1 for 30. 1 was used in this case even though it was less than 10 to the meter. During the outage , my recommendation to her concerning her husband condition during this emergency was that of the ***********. Call your utility and go to a warming center or fire ***** I feel like we have responded as well as could have been expected during this winter record cold. I am also thankful to ******* for finding her another service dealer so quickly. Sincerely ******************* Owner.

Calls were not being taken at 4AM on *****, as the owner's phone was turned off. I texted him at 3:48AM. My husband left a message for him on voicemail at 4AM. He never called, just texted back at 6:38AM telling us to go to the fire station or call 911. "Getting out ASAP". At 6:44AM he texted "all I can hope to do is manually start it" (which was impossible due to the needed repair). "It won't be able to do a repair." By 8AM I was still waiting to hear from Southern Power Experts. They never responded to any more of my texts. The emergency line wanted to charge us $600 just to **me out and do a diagnostic test on a unit that was less than 1 year old and under 100% warranty. It took them 5 hours to call us back. I texted the owner again and told him if he'd pay for it, they will **me out. I'm still waiting for an answer from the owner 6 days later. The service call a **uple of weeks ago was **mplete after not one but 2 trips and it did not solve the problem. The owner said it sounded like it was struck by lightning without looking at it. He was on the phone. The part was ordered and 2 weeks later it came in. I also had to call generac to get an antenna for the wifi because the installer never bothered. I had to call the gas **mpany and get a name and number for the owner because he didn't know who to call or just **uldn't be bothered. I have the text where I gave him that information. He never even said so much as thank you for getting information he should already have. The **ntroller **uld not have been struck by lightning as there hasn't been any. He did not show me how to turn it on manually as I already knew and was having to turn it on manually on and off since we got the generator. This was not the first time we had called about the same problem. I was never told by anyone that we needed to call the gas ** to get a larger meter. It was just this month he said anything. The meter was not installed until 12-27-22 at 9AM. Just another false statement by the owner, Both the gas **mpany and Southern ************ the **mpany that came out on the 23rd, said the rod in question was 1/2" and needed to be at least 1 1/4-1 1/2". Both said it wasn't necessary during the winter, but it is in the summer to run the a/c. As it turned out, had they done the proper diagnostic test, they would have fond that the **mputer board was burnt up. Southern Power Experts have yet to call to take care of any of the problems. They never called to fix the wifi. They never called to give us an oil change that we were supposed to get 5 months ago. When I asked about it the owner just laughed. The last **mmunication from the owner that I had was "Yes, this is a problem. We need to figure out." that was at 6:55AM on *****-22. We have never heard another word from Southern Power Experts. The owner lies. He is **ndescending. He does not keep his promises to do repairs. Once he gets his money, he no longer cares about the customer.

I did a virtual estimate with this company for a new generator to be installed at my home. I spoke with the salesperson several times and provided all the information he asked for to provide an estimate. He provided one I set up finance and we agreed on an install date. One day before the install he asked for more pictures which I provide. On install day, the crew and the owner came out to do the work and saw that it would take more than one day, additional money, and extra paperwork to complete the job. The crew left and later that day I received a call from the owner stating that he would not do the work because it did not fit his business model. I asked why, he stated that he had already lost money coming out and could not do the job. I tried to reason with him about how I followed all the instructions his sales rep. had given and was assured that this would work. In short, I was just left out to dry because they did not come out to actually see what needed to be done. They should have come out and walked the site before committing and just telling the customer I am not going to do the work. The owner said that my writing this review is *****. I feel that it is needed so that others will not be treated like I was.

During the Pandemic it was acceptable and many cased expected have a virtual meeting to avoid in home contact. Pictures I received were not exact and upon arrival that day, the electricians and myself the owner made the determination that we would not be able to install the transfer switch until the electrical meter base was updated and had a disconnect as per code. The husband was not on the job site and tried to negotiate with me to do the job regardless of the code. No monies where received from homeowner and we dont upgrade electrical systems in homes. So we had nothing to gained by turning down his business that day. Sincerely *******************- owner
