On 1/31/25 a base charge of $273.00 was added to my water bill. I called Utility Billing Solutions to discuss my bill I was told they had not been able to read my meter since September and the base charge was a result of that I scheduled an appointment to repair the meter, which was completed on 2/12/25, based upon their availability. I called again to discuss the base charge which the agent said would be removed since the repair was completed. I admit there was a statement on the bill mentioning the meter issue but I never saw it until the agent mentioned it. I log in to their website and pay monthly just a couple of clicks. There is nothing eye catching about it and it also says call to avoid interruption. (See uploaded statement)This went on for 2yrs without additional notice or interruption This could have been avoided On 3/15/25, I noticed a charge for $1077..29 Called to inquire and was told it was because my meter had not been read for two years ,since 09/23 The Mgr.**** said normally the *** sends notification . Emailed *** , **** said he would check but no response yet. 3/17-Called *** asked if its normal procedure to estimate a water bill for 2yrs.? Was told no , normally after the repairs arent completed by a certain time the base charge would be applied Couldnt get a straight answer from anyone after that. How long do you wait or the time allowed given to fix the meter? No answer How was my account overlooked for 2 years? No answer What arrangements can be made.? answer -call **** at ***. Called ***- **** says *** is responsible They are giving me the run around. Im stuck with an excessive water bill. I dont want this to happen again Why arent they owning up to allowing an estimated bill for 2yrs?Why cant a payment arrangement be made or reduce the charges since they allowed estimates for 2 years. What is the policy for broken meter repairs and notification?
