    This roofing company was going around during the aftermath of hurricane Helene advertising that they would offer free tarping. . the company tarp my house on Sunday after the hurricane. I asked the contractor on two different occasions. How much do I owe you for the tarping, The contractor stated nothing. This is a free service Weeks go by and I decided not to use this roofing company due to them ignoring me when I needed help with my claim from the ******** Adjuster also due to them not responding and not being willing to take the tarp down when the ******** Adjuster came I’ve got another roofing company to install my roof and now this old roofing company is sending me an invoice of $3500 for tarping my house. This is unacceptable, especially during a natural disaster and it’s against the law to take advantage of people when you are advertising that this is a free service and you also wrote on a sticky note and left on my door. I am here to help whether it’s repairs typing or just advice. Please call or text me with their number

    We will move forward in voiding out the customers outstanding balance of $3,500, however, we never advertised free tarping as tarps as large as we put on roofs are very costly. We do, however, bill the homeowner for the tarp work but insurance covers the cost of tarping if there a claim filed (which there was- claim #********** * and to our understanding, *** ***** had received that money from her insurance company, Allstate. Attached is the estimate created for *** *****'s insurance company to reflect the emergency tarp service. We also never stopped communicating with *** ***** throughout the process of getting her insurance sorted with the adjuster in regard to her roof replacement.
