On 12/6/2022 I brought a ******* Galaxy S9+ into the Hampton location with a cracked screen for repair. Ticket18522 for $199.51. I was told this particular screen would have to be ordered special and would take a while, but I agreed the cost was fine. Prior to this I was using the phone myself and never had any issues with the phone. When the screen was repaired ****** called me to inform it was ready, but she had cracked the back of the phone during the process, and "this happens all the time". We agreed to just put another back on it and go from there, it would be in a case anyway. 12/30/22 I returned with the phone because the screen would not 'digitize' so the touch functions would not work ticket18636. ****** worked on the phone again for a few days, when I picked it back up, it seemed to work fine. 1/30/23 I returned again with the same issue of the touchscreen not working ticket18775. ****** again worked on it and said she would send it off to a tech to see if there was something wrong like a motherboard etc. When I pick it up again, she told me how to factory reboot it without having to use the touchscreen to power it off and told me to try that if it continued. During the next few months, I did have to do that process a few times. 6/1/23 I emailed, called and brought the phone back in on 6/2 with the same issue. *** the owner told me he would send it off to his tech who would be able to determine if the shop worker messed up or if there was a problem with the phone. On 6/13 I called to ask for an update, *** called me back later and told me that he never sent it off, but that it seemed someone had "intentionally damaged the back of the phone", accusing my son (repeatedly) of this in order to get a new phone. *** told my husband that we were trying to run a hustle, and he was not doing anything to fix or see what was actually wrong with the phone. I believe they are damaging items, intentionally or unintentionally, and inappropriately addressing concerns.
