      We hired Boundary Zone to do a survey on a property we own which needed to include setback lines. The first survey came back with wrong setback lines, we only found this out because we went to the city to ask some questions trying to determine if we needed a variance, at this impromptu meeting is when we were told the setback lines were wrong. The city gave us correct info and we sent that on to them to correct the survey. They fixed it and we moved on. We decided to hire them again for 2nd job (mainly because they were able to complete 1st job so fast....) Next job we needed them to add a structure to the "corrected survey", but ask them several times to please call to discuss, no one ever did and next thing we know they sent **** for "completed job" I questioned them on how they could finish a job before talking to us not knowing what we wanted! Also were they sure they did it on the corrected survey! They sent me a screen shot of new survey with structure to proof before I paid for it, once again it was done on the survey with the WRONG setback line's AGAIN. At this point I asked them through email to stop the work as we're clearly not on the same page. They confirmed to stop work and said to let them know when we wanted to move forward again. Several days later I received a **** due notice. 3 invoices and threating calls later they are now saying they are sending us to collections because we won't pay our ****. We have asked if owner could call several times, sent emails, a certified letter, left messages with no response other than a ***************** in accounting that is throwing his weight around saying you signed a contract (Yes we did but to do a correct job, not one we have had to correct them on twice!!). This same guy ask would we be willing to pay half, at the time we said no we wanted to speak to someone besides this kid, yet no one will respond. If someone would just call and talk to us in a friendly manner we are hopeful to work this out! No accountability!

      Your site is unique in its configuration in that your property only has 3 property lines.  The City tries to establish which of those property lines would be considered the front,side & rear property lines in order to establish the required building setbacks for the property.  Your site plan was developed with a different setback determination than the one you received in your impromptu meeting with the City.  The Citys interpretation is not always the final interpretation.  We have had several instances where we were able to argue on our clients behalf and get the setbacks revised.  In your instance we never received that opportunity.  My advice is to take our site plan that we prepared for you to the City and submit it for review.  If the City responds with comments on the site plan, we will directly correspond with them to assist them in determining a favorable outcome for your site.  I will get my Executive VP of Operations to reach out to you and see if we can resolve this issue with you amicably.
