  I thought this consignment was very reputable and went in every week on (Thursdays) for several months and purchased every time I visited. I decided to consign some clothing, new Tote bags when the owner was taking consignments.I took two extra-large bags of clothes some still with price tags, ***** new Tote bags (computer and backpacks) still wrapped in plastic.I noticed after the 1st week none of my items were in the store. There are two people who work in the store, and I thought maybe they had been busy. I went back the next week and still did not see any of my items in the store. I asked the owner's assistant about my items, and she told me to talk with the owner.I asked the owner and in front of everyone in the store she yelled: "Your items smelled like cat ****, and I donated them." I was hurt and upset because I felt like I knew these people fairly well and they seemed like reputable.I asked the owner why she did not call me, and I could have come back to pick the items. She never answered my question. I also told her that the items belonged to me, and not your property. I really felt as this had been a deliberate act. She did not own the items. These items were my property and were consigned until sold or given back to ***** was so hurtful and humiliating in front of the customers in the store. I was definitely shamed in front of the public. I noticed that a donation box had been placed outside of her building.I was in the store every week on a Wednesday or Thursday. She could have locked my items back up in the storage area and my items were in very heavy, top of the line garbage bags and given them back to me. My items were not hers to give away, they were my property.When I would ask her a question, all she did was laugh out loud so everyone could hear her laughing. I hope that you can help me with making sure that this does not happen to anyone else.Thank you.
