    I have used this CPA for years and when I started getting paid through a ******** Waiver to care for my son in our home, I asked him about deductions for that. He said there were none. [2023] Fast forward to 2024 tax year [the current year filing], and I found out about the "Difficulty of Care Act" and that I actually didn't owe $8,000 for 2023 and they sent my taxes to me for review of accuracy. I immediately informed him and his wife **** of the *** NOTICE ****** , which he apparently knew nothing about, and that we need to make some corrections for the current tax year and an ameded 2023 for last year. ****, his wife, with Dennis in the background provided 5 different invalid excuses why they could no longer complete my tax return, leaving me high & dry to find someone last minute to help me. I think it is gross *************** shouldn't be able to hold a license as a CPA doing this to good repeat customers. He should have to file the amended return for 2023 & correct the 2024 return, but this is par behavior for people in ******, *******, because the modus operandi is to treat people any kind of ********** will just go away. I am not going away. For now, I am doing all the legwork getting the amended W-2s and the Difficulty of Care form from Acumen. Again, this is an awful way to treat a repeat customer due to his own ignorance of IRS Laws. It is not Christian-like, & I think I will find a CPA who exudes Christian-like behavior for the future years. I even asked for ********* wife **** [the person who answers the phone] to send all records they had of mine to me since they severed the relationship on NO GROUNDS [the final excuse was he has health problems; well, so do I!]. So far, I received NOTHING. I will continue to leave appropriate reviews on every platform available to me. This CPA cost ******* family money I didn't have to spend. It would be decent for them to correct the return I paid for & to follow through with the corrections for this current season.

     FIRST OF ALL, I HAVE BEEN PREPARING TAX RETURNS AS A CPA FOR OVER 50 YEARS.  THIS IS THE FIRST COMPLAINT I HAVE EVER HAD TO THE BBB.  I WILL DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY TO GET THIS MATTER RESOLVED WITHOUT GOING INTO DETAILS AND DISCREDITING HER.

    I WILL MAKE THE OFFER TO REFUND THE $110.00 FOR PREPARING THE 2023 TAX RETURN, WHICH WAS A DISCOUNTED RATE FOR SINGLE MOTHERS.

    ON 2024, I WITHDREW FROM PREPARING THE RETURN AND SHE WAS NOT CHARGED.
