I *********************** entered into an agreement with ************************************** of Icon Acquisitions LLC on August 25 2021 to help reconstruct my property at *********************************************************** which was damaged by fire precisely on June 1st 2021. This was after deliberations on budget with my home insurance State Auto. ************************************** agreed to finish the reconstruction of the property with the amount totalling $211,759.52. The insurance issued the checks and work began. Mr *** told i and the adjuster from State Auto that the construction will be done between eight to twelve months. During the process Mr *** delayed the job with excuses such as missing the county and mortgage company's private inspectors because he was usually not on site when inspectors came around. He also took months off sighting medical and personal issues which prolonged our stay at the temporary home which the insurance was responsible for thereby altering the stipulated completion time. The Insurance cut off our temporary stay in July 2022. Currently ************************************** got 95% of the funds but only completed 75% of the job. When we tried to talk with him he said he needed the insurance to give him additional funds sighting inflation which the insurance declined stating that the amount budgeted and issued was enough to finish the job and if only he can prove and document the inflation reasons which he did not. He then advised that i get a private loan of about $30,000 for him to finish the project which i declined. Despite all the strains i had to move my family into the uncompleted building in December 2022. i have tried to reach out to Mr *** maybe we can resolve this issue but he gives excuses and threats. Living on the property now i noticed that alot of materials used were substandard and mostly used. I also had to fix issues such as electrical, plumbing etc. Please kindly Advise. Thank you.
