Optimum Foot & Ankle Centers, LLC My mother (******* ******) and I started attending Optimum Foot and Ankle Center, LLC, in 2018, located at *************************************************** Suite 122, **************, **. We stopped attending this office due to Covid-19 for 3 years. Once we returned, the receptionist shared that my mother had an outstanding bill, and bills had been sent. Only to discover that the office had the wrong address on her account. After paying my mothers bill, I was informed that I would receive a refund. I had to contact the office twice before I received this refund. I finally received the refund from Dr. ****** without an apology. As a result of Dr. ********* incompetent office and bookkeeping personnel, we decided to go to another podiatrist. I was told the office had been trying to reach me since 1/2025. To my surprise, on March 7, 2025, I received a text informing me that I had a bill for a $ 50 co-pay due for treatment on 10/8/2019, and they had submitted my 1/8/2020 bill to ***************** Shield (my mothers insurance) instead of ******************, and they were told I was not a member. Unsurprisingly, things like this occur when you have incompetent accounting staff. I called the office to explain that I did not have ***************** Shield Insurance but ******************* which they should have known, considering that they submitted the bill for 10/8/2019 to ******************. Did they collect the $10 co-payment since I should have paid $50?At this point, I feel I should not be held responsible for their inadequate bookkeeping procedures. Dr. ****** is obviously trying to clean up the mess caused by her accounting company. Dr. ****** should take legal action against the company responsible for creating this financial disaster to pay for their mistakes and not hold me accountable. Therefore, I refused to pay this bill and did not create the problem.
