    I recently experienced a disturbing incident with MJS Utilities Company, which provides water services to my residence in Valdosta, Georgia. Without prior notice or warning, they shut off my water supply just before a freeze warning was issued for our area after business hours, on a Friday. This situation is particularly concerning given that I have a large family temporarily visiting, including two twin 9 year old sons, a pregnant wife, and a visiting mother-in-law who uses a wheelchair. When I contacted Mr. H***** of MJS Utilities, he callously demanded that I pay $1300 to have the water turned back on. Furthermore, I discovered that MJS Utilities is not a member of the Better Business Bureau and has allegedly violated a Georgia statute governing water companies. Mr. H***** seemed unconcerned about the potential consequences of his actions, even though his company's records appear to be inaccurate. Should there be any fatalities resulting from this situation, it would be a devastating consequence of MJS Utilities' irresponsible behavior. Please note that Georgia law requires timely notice and proper procedures for utility shut-offs (O.C.G.A. § 46-2-91). FEMA FREEZE WARNING ?
