    On 7/7/23 I attempted to order food from Little Caesars Pizza in ******* **. using the online app and my debit card. I tracked my order and got step by step notifications my order was being made, placed in the oven, and then ready for pickup. I received a 3 digit code to get my order out of the pizza portal. However, the app said something was wrong with the pizza portal and to see the cashier for my order. When trying to pick up my order, I told the employee I ordered through the app and it said to see a cashier because something was wrong with the pizza portal. The employee rudely said the pizza portal was not working and neither was the online ordering app. I told her I had no problem ordering with the app and it accepted my card and told me my order was ready. If the app wasn't working then my order should not have been accepted. She asked my name and said she didn't have any orders for my name and no orders pending to be picked up. She continued to say she was the only employee working and everyone else left at 8:30. The store closes at 10pm. She said she did not have the man power to make mine or anyone else's order. I told her if that was the case, then I needed a refund since the money was already taken out of my bank account. She rudely stated that I'd have to request one through the app and she didn't know how to do that. While in the store I noticed there weren't any food items whatsoever in the hot and ready ovens and customers were continuously coming in to order and being turned away empty handed. The next day my husband went to the store to talk to someone about the incident. That employee told him the reason they could not make anyone's order was because they ran out of dough. He told them that was not the story I was given, someone was obviously lying, and if they had no dough, why were they even still open? He was given no explanation other than he needed to contact corporate. We did so and reported the problem and haven't gotten a response.
