I have been fighting with this company since 2012 to present regarding an alleged debt they claimed I owed to them. However, I have contacted them on numerous occasions letting them know I do not owe them, nor have I ever owed any companies. After having the rep from FAMS speak to " a billing manager at ********************* letting FAMS know that I do not owe any past bills. FAMS then switched the debt to my husband's name *************************** saying he owes this money. They have been withholding all our ******** refunds since 2013. I have contacted ******** regarding this company and had a case supervisor named ******* on this matter, she then spoke to FAMS who told her to contact ***. The number they gave was not *** it was again FAMS number. This company has been bullying and harassing me, causing me to go into preterm labor in ***************************************************************************************************************************************** order to collect this debt. After I told her I was hiring a lawyer they then stopped contacting me, after a year I again contacted ******** and was told that FAMS needed to sign a release form in order for me to get my money owed to me. I contacted FAMS regarding this release form, and they told me they had nothing to do with it, that the state is holding the money. As attached you will see letters, I contacted FAMS regarding this money. they then claim that it's not *** I owe the money it's a student loan. I have never taken out any student loans. Fast forward to now, after I thought this was settled and I am getting my money. I was sent another letter from the State, Stating FAMS contacted them again saying i now owe ******** from a ******* refund I was expecting, and another ***** owed on my husband's name stating he owed that amount from the ******* refund, so they took the entire check. I am fedup of this company withholding my state refunds I want all the mney they owe me from 2012 to 2023. please helpBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: After personally speaking with ******************* and The ******************* it was known that this debt was invalid and then, only then FAMS passed this debt on to another collection agency which stated the debt was a student loan which they had no proof of, Also on a 3 way call with this agency the *********** and **************** FAMS was told the bills did not exists and the aledge bills they were sending to me was invalid and they were statements from bills that were explanations of Hospital visits. This company are a Bully to innocent people and was told by the State to send a signed release form in order for them to release years worth of taxes due to my husband and myself.

I am rejecting this response because: This "debt" is from ****, which was included in my 2009 Bankruptcy and is 19 years old. All private student loans were listed in the paperwork as part of my bankruptcy approval.
