    I called company beginning of September 2024. I explained that I have have a lot of problems with air conditioning unit in past. Ac only 5 yrs old every 6 mo to year ac low repairman finds leak, fills ac. I told them if can fix then ok, otherwise just want to change a/c unit to new one. I waited 2 weeks for appointment. The guy who showed up did not have a leak detection device, said his was broken. He hooked up gages and said ac is low. I said yes I already know that. He put nitrogen in system to find leak. I said how are you going to find leak without your detector. He said going old school with soap bubbles. I told him won't work. Leak is small because takes long time to get low. After awhile he said he couldn't find the leak, he had to go to next appointment, and would return in 2 weeks. When I called company to complain of long wait and just want new ac already they said would take 2 weeks to get appointment. Then said if I want sooner fix call NS air-conditioning (another company).I called ******, they came next day took ac info, ordered new unit and a week later 2 guys showed up and in 2 hours had the ac replaced. I paid them and thought the matter was done. Later the first company called and said I needed to pay for their guys appointment. I said I never got a bill, and don't think I should pay because he showed up without the proper tools, and couldn't find the leak. They had no desire to fix my ac and wanted me to go to a different company to fix my problem. The first time she called she threatened to send my name to collections and hung up on me. The second time she called she threatened me again so I hung up on her. Please help resolve....do I owe them? They never sent me a bill, but claimed they did.

    I am responding to case #********. I didn't know how to do it where I read the response from company. Their responder was either misinformed or just a liar. I was not given hourly charges when booking appointment. They did say it would be 2 weeks for them to come out, which I agreed. They asked what I wanted done, I told them if it can't be fixed, then I want it replaced ASAP. If a plumber shows up for clog without a snake, would you pay him for an hour? Anyway- once again I never even got a bill and have no idea what I owe them, but it's the principle that I don't agree with- They didn't do the job! The other company replaced unit in less than 3 hours, AND found the leak! I did wait 10 days for the 2nd company to do the replacement, but they got it done. Air conditioning Unlimited claims that I called them the 2 times I spoke with them - untrue! The first time the lady asked if I was going to pay bill? I told her I didn't get it but didn't feel that I owed them anything since they didn't fix anything- that is when she threatened collections and hung up on me. The next time she called I was driving in my car and she was repeating everything that was said in first call, so I hung up on her. She sent threatening text after that. If you wait 2 weeks to get your car fixed and when you show up they tell you their diagnostics tester is broken, and you can come back in 2 weeks or go to another shop - would you pay the automechanic who didn't fix your car?
