    I received a marketing email from Quantum University after having unsubscribed from their mailing list. The marketing email asked if I had "unsubscribed accidentally" and had directions to resubscribe to receive updates or ignore if I had intended to unsubscribe. This is a violation of the CAN-SPAM Act and harassment as the Founder of this university, *************************, sent me a cease and desist after reaching a settlement for work that he attempted to evade paying me for and is now sending me unwanted marketing emails.

    Any recent communication to *************************** was sent by mistake. *************************** was removed and unsubscribed on February 6, 2023. We also permanently deleted all data related to *********************** on February 8, 2023. Quantum University adheres to industry best-practices regarding the management of our subscriber's emails and we have an very positive email compliance reputation. Any communication *************************** received contained only transactional or relationship content, did not contain false or misleading routing information, and therefore is not a violation of the CAN-SPAM Act. These actions and responses meet the resolution requested by the BBB. This issue is permanently resolved.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is marginally satisfactory, including the inaccuracies and lack of conscientiousness in the business' response to this incident. I have already reported these activities to the ************************ for review.

    My personal information was clearly not removed from their records or unsubscribed from their mailing list on 2/6/2023, as they assert, as I received a marketing email on 2/8/2023 confirming my subscription and personal information. Any implied consent or affirmed consent was nullified on 2/6/2023, when I gave very clear written communication to this business that I was not consenting to their marketing communications. I am not convinced that Quantum University is adhering to the industry's best practices in managing personal information and adhering to the CAN-SPAM Act, including to "honor opt-out requests promptly." I trust that they understand that if my personal information has not been deleted, and if I receive any communication or become aware of misuse of my personal information, I will be filing a lawsuit for harassment, etc.

    This has been a very frustrating couple of weeks. I had an initial call with ******* on July 29th 2022. I wanted to look into the courses they offer and which program might be of interest to me. ******* was sweet, but VERY HIGH PRESSURE SALES tactics were used, which I never normally fall for, but I did. So I RUSHED into signing up right away to be able to get some great deal that would supposedly be gone if I didn't sign up right then. So I paid the $300 non-refundable registration fee and was then contacted right away by the person who takes payment. I was told if I didn't pay $5000 down I wouldn't get promised programs and devices I needed for some of the courses. So I did. I started the first course right away and was blown away by how disorganized and confusing the teaching style was and the instructor's accent so heavy it's very hard to understand him. I was so shocked because I'm NOT stupid and I am experienced with college level classes..but this may as well have been in another language for as much as I was grasping. So I viewed a few minutes of several of the different videos from different classes and it was the same issue. I knew then that there's NO WAY I will be able to do this, so let them know immediately I wanted to withdrawal. I called countless times, emailed several different people there and NO ONE would get back to me. My husband tried contacting them and was blown off too. On 8/11 I got someone who seemed empathetic to my situation and he said he'd have someone get RIGHT back to me. No one contacted me, but I got notified within HOURS that all of the devices were just shipped to me!! AFTER I told them I wanted to withdrawal. 8/16 I got the someone to call but she said she was to help me stay enrolled. I said I wanted to withdrawal, unequivocally. Then Ces finally emailed and said I owe an ADDITIONAL $500 in fees and that they're keeping the $5000! I have not taken any courses, nor used devices. I WANT OUT OF THE CONTRACT AND A REFUND OF $5000.
