      It's 2024 and still have power outages for over 16 hours...yes 16 hours in ****, ******. Uneducated, wasted taxes and still living in the 1950s. There is no hope for it ever getting better. I want my money back.

      Terrible company that will disconnect your house from power for no reason even if you have been paying on time each month. They do not reconnect you to power afterhours and just expect you to sit in the dark all night. No process for emergency outages and no help afterhours. When speaking to customer service, all they can tell you is they dont know why the power was turned off. Hawaiian Electric is awful and hopefully they will one day be replaced by an actual competent company.

      The power went out in my area at 10:19 pm on June 7, 2023. My whole apartment complex is without power. The power outage started at bedtime, six hours ago. Hawaiian Electric reports that via their outage map that they have not yet sent out a team to figure out why we are without power. Nor have they sent out teams to either of the other two active power outages. In order to safely sleep I need to use a CPAP machine. I've been awake for hours because I can't sleep without it.

      This outfit, like most utilities, is about profits. Just base it on the salaries of their leadership....$500K to $2M a year? Sorry, but families are suffering having to pay for increases in electricity. Sure, they ask for increases when oil prices rise and crest, but when those prices start to stabilize and fall, they do not volunteer to reduce our bills. I hope that the people of ****** will start to direct their ire at the leadership at HECO. Of course, they are not alone, but they steer the ship. Perhaps some "Bachi" is on the horizon. Maybe if ****'s customers put their mind to it, put things out into the universe, those things will manifest and cause these HECO leaders to re-evaluate their selfish, money-grabbing mindset.
