    I strongly recommend that you do not do business with this company. They are currently closed but the owner is now the owner of KOA BUILDING AND DESIGN **** In my opinion it is an understatement to say they are dishonest and incompetent. The absolute worst mistake of my life was hiring Building 808. They are possibly the worst contractor ever.I used Building 808 LLC on a project for a home renovation between Oct 2018-May 2019. The owner claimed to be licensed but he was not. We paid a lot of money up front and he walked off with all the money and did very little work (we know we were foolish to pay up front per company terms). Building 808 did the demolition and some minor work. Most of what he did was not to code and needed to be redone. He did not get us the proper permitting, engineering or drawings to complete the job as promised. We ended up spending over 4x the Building 808 quote to make repairs and complete the work. Our house was missing a roof and walls for almost a year while we tried to put the pieces back together. It was a nightmare. All the change orders were factored into the price we paid, he claims thy were not. The city agreed with us and tried to get Building 808 to complete the work but building 808 llc did nothing. The city ended up fining building 808 llc a nominal fee for working without a license (second time for the owner was fined in a few years).
