Facts of the ********************** represented Gang Nam BBQ in a litigation case. Our initial retainer was $20,000.00 to start. **** moved along and our office put in a lot of hours exceeding the initial retainer amount. We managed to get two real properties back for ******** that had illegal liens on her properties. Gang Nam paid us $5,000.00, $5,000.00 and when we pressed for rest of the payments, Gang Nam sent us three post dated checks in the amount of $2,000.00, $2,000.00 and $1,000.00 alleging financial hardship. These checks represent discounted amount from $10,000.00 remaining balance from initial retainer of $20,000.00. When the first post dated check was deposited after months' of waiting until Gang Nam could make good on its checks,   it bounced and we were informed other checks were cancelled,  too.

That was why we decided to file a UCC lien. This complaint is nothing more than a pay-back for our UCC filing.

Although we did not want to , but  now we intend to forward this to collection specialist attorney for the whole amount ($10,000.00) or more for the full billing.

I am rejecting this response because we had asked them several times to provide an accounting of the payments to justify additional payments.  They did not provide anything written to me and to date have not provided anything.

    Sincerely,

Attached are the post dated  cancelled checks Gang Nam gave our office and later cancelled. We deposited the first check in the amount of $2,000.00, which bounced.

The bill was sent and Gang Nam kept asking for more time to make payments, which we obliged and even agreed to accept post dated checks-  First of which bounced and the rest of two checks were cancelled by Gang Nam. We now intend to refer the case out to collection attorney for the full amount of unpaid legal fees, which may exceed $10,000.00 plus the collection attorney 's fees.

Unless they make good on $5,000.00 bad checks they gave our office with a cashier's check this time until the end of March 2024, after the collection attorney brings a law suit and obtain a judgment, he will put a judgment lien all all properties and the business.
