October 2, 2021 I financed this vehicle on the above date from Cutter Mazda of Honolulu. At the time and till now they haven't told me that the vehicle was involved in an accident. I actually found out from other dealerships as I have been trying to trade this vehicle in for something cheaper. When I mentioned to the Sales Manager she tells me that this vehicle was never in an accident and it perfectly fine. However when I pulled up the carfax report it shows that this vehicle was involved in an accident and it damaged the front, both driver side and passenger sides of the vehicle as well as the rear of the vehicle. After getting let go from my previous job and now starting my new job, I find myself not able to make the monthly payments anymore as I don't get paid as much as my previous job. That was the main reason for me to trade my vehicle in. But now after starting my new job, I find that I will be needing a small truck or small suv, something higher of the ground as my new job is located in an area with rough terrain, dips and lots of potholes. The current vehicle that I drive is a luxury sedan and very low to the ground, so it take a beating daily now when I go to and from work. I wish that the sales person that sold me the car notified me that this vehicle was involved in and accident. I was wondering about this vehicle as lately the transmission has been slipping and jerks from time to time. I would just like to get into a vehicle that is more affordable for me, and is capable of handling the terrain of the area that my job is located.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/03/2022

Cutter Mazda of Honolulu as well as the entire Cutter Group take our reputation very seriously.  The report that we use to check the vehicle's history is through Experian and we found it to be more accurate then a Carfax report and have been using this report for the last 15 years.  I have attached the copy of the report showing that the vehicle was not in an accident and we did not sell it to you knowing one if any had happened.  When you were here trying to trade in the vehicle we at Cutter Mazda were trying whatever we could do to try and help you in your situation.  There are guidelines that banks go by and in your situation we could not get within those guidelines ie credit, down payment, collateral value.
