    ****** ******-Guy who called me about Ocean Head Solar ***** ******- Guy who is the "Engineer" tells Ocean Head how many panels and battery I would need *****-Lady who works directly for Ocean Head I had my solar installed May 2024 and ****** ****** signed me up and then I had to speak to ***** Osaka who told me I needed 11 Panels and 1 battery, and I would have an additional 10% extra power for when I install Airconditioning in my home. The instal I thought went fine. I had an email that talked about the permit that was almost approved in may from Ocean Head and the install happened a few days later. Little did I know the Permit was not approved. Ocean Head installed my solar and now I am paying a bill of ****** for solar and still paying electric 100+ dollars. When I called all 3 individuals listed above ***** was the only one to answer after several attempts at email, texts and calls. She explained there was an issue with my permit that she was unsure why my permit was not approved. I still have not recieved any follow up on this manner in 2 weeks. My battery that is supposed to work for 18 hours and 9 min only last 4-5 hours. there is a 25 year warranty but no one will replace this or fix the issue. Just a lot of finger pointing and blaming the next person. As of right now this system is hooked up to my roof and house illegally and I am paying a bill for services that have not been provided. I feel scammed and should be reimbursed and they can take their solar back and replace my roof.

    Aloha,

    As soon as we received the initial BBB complaint from Mr. ****** I immediately called him to discuss the situation. I asked him for his ***** ****, told him I would research the situation, talk to the sales *** that sold him the system, and get back to him. Then, On November 29, 2024, we flew from **** to the ********** to meet with ****** at his home in ************ to inspect the system and discuss the situation further in person.  We determined that his solar battery was too small for his current usage.  We understand that he was led to believe by one of our sales ***resentatives that the battery would meet his needs, plus some.  We take full responsibility for this miscommunication and have spoken with the sales *** directly regarding setting correct client expectations and returning client calls.  We are therefore going to install an additional solar battery, thereby doubling his storage capacity, at no additional cost to him.  Regarding the permitting issue, there was a backlog at the Hawaii county permitting office that has since been resolved, and Mr. ******* now has a valid permit for his solar PV system.
