      I'm reaching out from *******, Maui, about an unresolved Sturdevant invoice (#******) for $241.94 dated 8/4/2022, related to our Fujitsu split AC issues. In July 2022, we noticed a leak and a hissing sound. Certified Air Conditioning and Fujitsu diagnosed a cracked coil. On 8/4, Sturdevant confirmed this but didnt promptly schedule a repair, even though I scheduled specifically for a repair. Despite refusing a temporary fix of refilling freon, I followed their process for a proper repair, which led nowhere. Attempts to communicate with Sturdevant were unfruitful. By 8/19, with no progress and after contacting ******* directly, I had to engage Chill Out for an urgent repair, completed on 8/22/22.Our relationship with Sturdevant began in early 2020, installing Fujitsu units for $22,000. Previous issues include an incomplete fuse installation in May 2021 resolved by Fujitsu. The coil leak jeopardized our home office's safety and functionality, critical for my client sessions and my husbands artwork, both requiring controlled environments.Copper tubing can develop cracks over time, but if it's new then it is most likely an installation error. Most likely, stress induced due to bending during installation. I am unsure if this is a common issue in this industry if it is caused by sabotage at the field worker level, or if it is a result of how this company operates. Incompetence at best, intentional at worst.Given the sequence of events and the subsequent resolution by another service provider, I find the invoice for incomplete and unrendered services unjust. Receiving this invoice a couple of days before Christmas 2023 felt particularly harsh following the ******* fires. We have always been prompt with payments and maintain excellent credit. It is disheartening to face such a challenge from a service provider we once trusted. I request the invoice be voided, to cease further contact with Sturdevant, and for them to reflect on their service standards. Mahalo

      I wanted to follow up regarding the service visit we conducted at your location on 8/4/22 in response to a no-cooling call for your Fujitsu system, which was installed by another contractor.

      As it was Sturdevant's first visit to your location, our standard procedure is to diagnose the air conditioning issue and subsequently provide a proposal for repairs. However, please note that we are unable to repair systems diagnosed by other contractors or homeowners.

      Following our visit, we sent an estimate to repair the system under warranty on 8/19/2022 via email. I'd like to clarify that while we did not install your air conditioning equipment, we are more than willing to assist with any warranty-related repairs.

      Additionally, I understand there may have been a diagnostic fee charged for the initial visit. We would be glad to remove this charge as a gesture of goodwill.
