    i contacted the store and asked for an estimate to repair my rocker. in the text conversation I said I needed a price range to decide to bring it in for repair. text answer, about $100. I took the chair in and reiterated I only wanted the wood sanded and re stained, replace any screws and fix one small crack; replace the seat cane and reiterated it did not need to match. ****, (who was the one in the text message stream) took the chair. I reiterated my instructions. He said he would call if the price was higher (I had offered to go to $150 in the text) He never called and then, after a month, he called and said the chair was done but I had to pay $500. I would never have had the chair repaired for that price...I went with a friend to get my chair. **** would not even let me see it. I offered $200 cash. NO CHAIR. is this theft? sent a letter and emailed to owners and offered $250, NO REPLY. they have stolen my chair but the police say it is a civil matter
