      Business Response

      Date: 10/03/2024

      Aloha,
We, at Red Light Healing Center, pride ourselves on being the most affordably priced for the best service, allowing our clients to achieve the drastic results they desire.

To keep the prices affordable, we have strict 30-minute time slots for each 20-minute appointment, booking on the half-hour increments.  Note appointments are encouraged but not necessary.  If someone has an appointment, we hold the machine for them, making any walk-ins wait for the next timeslot.

It is clearly posted that our system is set up to deduct for any missed appointments as other people could have wanted/used that specific timeslot.

On September, 17, 2024 we allowed Laura and Bob Joyner to try RLT for free.  They then bought 10 Red Light Therapy sessions, split evenly between them (5 each).

As documented, they made 2 appointments on 9/18/24 at 7:30AM and showed up at 8:23AM, completely missing them, without even a courtesy phone call to say they were running late or to reschedule.  On this day they used a total of 4 sessions, 2 at 7:30AM and 2 at 8:30AM.

As documented, they did the same thing on 9/20/24, making 2 appointments for 10:30AM, and showing up at 11:44AM.  Again, missing both appointments in their entirety.  On this day, they used a total of 4 sessions; 2 at 10:30AM AND 2 at 11:30AM.

On 9/20/24, when reminded of our policy on missed appointments, Laura Joyner made a scene in the lobby, screaming at and belittling the receptionist, refusing to leave the lobby until she talked to the owner about her package.  (We have camera footage if necessary, but the movie file is too large to upload.)

Owner called Laura to then be screamed at and belittled as well.  When it was mentioned that all missed appointments are deducted from the remaining sessions, Laura said, “the posted sign says nothing about running late.”  And then threatened to blast us as “Scammers.”  I reminded her, they “missed the appointments all together” and she said she “underestimated the traffic.”  Note that she never called to say they were running late or to see if appointments would be available at the time they showed up.  Having a booked schedule, we had to rearrange other appointments to make their walk-ins work.

After 20 minutes of being disorderly in the lobby, owner reminded that we have the ‘right to refuse service’ and if she wouldn’t leave the lobby, the police would be called for harassment.

She finally exited, at which point a partial refund (minus the cc fees) of $25 was given for the last 2 sessions (1 each) that went unused.

As a business, we have gone above and beyond in being accommodating to them and the situation.  Not sure how they could demand a full refund, when they used most of their purchased package before the request.
