I hired this Contractor name Alama Construction LLC, owned by *********************** Alama. I look at his license noticed that it expired 09/30/22, but not sure if it's still active. They asked for 3 installations payment in cash with proof of contract in place and verification signature/date upon receiving the cash. They only worked on my deck for 2 full days on Saturday and Sunday, left the trash which I did not throw away, and did not complete the patio deck and took off and never came back to complete the job, they ignored my calls/texts, etc.....The deck is not in good condition meaning it's not stable, people can fall off and hurt themselves. How do I fight for this situation and what do you recommend for this action?

To whom it may concern the deck is safe we to walk on at this time no one will fall off so that already can tell you the character of the client who states that the temp railing system will fail there was a definite misunderstanding in The contract where the client would have to pay for lumber to build the new railing system back to specs the owner of property states she had no more money that she had to use it to buy Christmas gifts which allowed me to believe that she wanted me to buy the lumber gif her which was not a feasible opportunity for me or my crew hence allowed us to halt the project until more procurement was allowed the price to do the new deck was already 1/3 of my estimate and we were going to restrenghthen the existing railing system however we amended the first contract to rebuild with existing lumber available and we started as we were half way done the client complained and said that I would rebuild the whole railing system brand new with all new lumber which will place my company and my workers in a bind so we had to pause until further notice the price to rebuild the railing system with all new lumber back to specs is 10k more so I dont know how she can afford it. You see people say its the contractor trying to rip us this and that however when we are on the second story of a house wirjii ok g in the hot sun and dangling over the edge standing on rotted lumber working for nothing really gives you the feeling that man this home owner is ripping us off trying to weel and deal w us while we are doing our honest work. If she wants to amend the contract to increase it to 10 k more we can give her what she wants even better than she wanted it sorry gif the complaint but its your house pay the rite price thank you
