    Business is a local van rental company in ***** that we rented with in February 2024, had no issues and decided to utilize again on a trip again to ***** in May 2024, booked directly with the owner on March 29, 2024. What sup app was utilized for further communication after booked directly for insurance and accommodations. after initial arrangements, there was no further communications. the week of our trip we had attempted to reach out to the owner via social media, what's up app and text message and phone call. two days before the trip we received texts that our trip was booked, and everything was in order and the husband of the owner would be in touch for final details that night. Husband, j, never contacted us. we reached back out the next day and again asked for communication, Husband finally reached out at 1030 pm the night before we were flying out to cancel our reservations and stated that the van had been damaged by prior occupants and that he had been attempting to fix it, owner was very aggressive on the phone and stated that there was nothing he could do and couldn't get the van in the shop for another week. No refund was offered, only stated that he would contact a lawyer, and PayPal that it was initially paid with and attempt to work on a refund and then hung up. All other communication has been ignored and dismissed, social media page has been removed and it has now been two weeks and no refund issued for our 2275$ payment plus fees. owner sent the invoice over as "friends and family" unbeknownst to me so we are unable to request a refund and can't file a claim. The wife contacted us while in ****** and asked if we made it safe and if we were able to find other arrangements. We are currently in contact with PayPal and the credit care company for a credit. Company should have issued a refund immediately as they have now had our payment for over 7 weeks for a service that they didn't provide.
