On October 31, 2024, Better Business Bureau was alerted to a business operating as Maui Easy Riders (http://mauieasyriders.com/). BBB received a Scam Tracker report indicating that Maui Easy Riders is offering tours, failing to show up for appointments, and then blaming consumers as "no-shows" to avoid issuing refunds. BBB also received a complaint and a customer review that align with the Scam Tracker report.
A search with the Division, Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs, provided an active business registration for Maui Easy Riders, registrant Wiliam Cambell.
BBB visited the reported business website and found it was inactive.
BBB visited the advertised business address and found that it was a home in a residential neighborhood. A second address was identified and found to be a vacant building.
BBB found a post from William Campbell alleging that his business and identity had been stolen. He further claimed that the Maui Easy Riders’ Facebook and Instagram accounts were hacked.
BBB contacted Maui Easy Riders to address the consumer allegations and the reported identity theft. To date, Maui Easy Riders has not responded.
